God bless you!
I have recently been asking the Lord what is his will for my life. You know, the bible says in 1 corinthians 2:9 that we can’t see, hear or even think the things that God has planned for us. But the very next verse says He has revealed them to us. How? By His spirit. Awesome! That means we never have to be in the dark. How do we know it’s the spirit? Almost always, there is a scripture to back it up. God’s will is written in His word. Now for a hard question:
Is God’s will always done on this earth? Take salvation, for instance. When a person dies without Jesus, was that God’s will? We all agree that ‘God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of Christ’. His will was written in His word. What about this scripture – ‘in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God… ‘ does that happen all the time? Alas, not in my life, anyway. Why? Because we have wills, too.
God will not ever go back on His word in Deut. 30 when He said ‘I set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life.’. Since death reigns by sin in this world, (romans or Hebrews) it takes real effort to choose life. You don’t just coast into life.
But it is worth it, isn’t it? Deut 30 continues and says to love the Lord and cleave to Him for he is your life and the length of your days. What a deal! I encourage you today to cleave. Be blessed in Jesus name. I love you !
healed by His stripes,
Nancy
