You be the Judge

Hello, brothers and sisters,

Did you know that our mighty, all-powerful God is limited? Now, hang on, I’m not trying to knock the Father off His throne; I mean He has limited Himself.
The kingdom of God, as described by 1 John and Paul in several of his letters, operates much like a courtroom. Father God is the righteous judge. He also made the laws. Jesus is our advocate; our defense attorney. (1 John 2) He also took all our punishment by His stripes and made us innocent by His blood. The devil, the accuser of the brethren, (Revelation 12:10) is the prosecuting attorney. His minions are constantly taping everything we do so he can condemn us. He is truly dirty; he tempts us, tapes us, accuses us, condemns us in our minds and if possible, forces God to judge us.
But God has stacked the deck in our favor. Here’s how to win…
Judge yourself and you will not be judged. (1 Corinthians 11:31) Confess those sins according to 1 John 1:9, and the Lord is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. So then you are righteous and innocent. But the devil still works on your mind, trying to keep you in condemnation. Romans 8:1 says that there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. So, don’t listen to the devil, listen to the Spirit inside you. You see, the slightest condemnation destroys faith. John 3:17 says God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save it.
When satan accuses you, Jesus has already paid the required punishment. But you have to be very careful what you say because anything you say can and will be used against you. Jesus tells you what to say as your attorney. He says ‘only say what is in the Word.’ If you stick with that, the prosecutor can’t make anything stick. His evidence has been erased by the blood of Jesus.
The only way to lose in this court is to either try to hide or justify your sin, or to plead guilty before the court. Remember if you have already judged yourself and repented, you’re not guilty. If the devil can get you to keep your sin in any of those ways, he wins. If he wins, he has a place in your life to bring the curse. The bible says to never give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27) The reason God wants us not to give him a place is so He can bless us richly and abundantly in every area of our lives. So, follow the advice of your attorney/brother so that your judge/father can acquit you every time…
1. Judge yourself and repent. Make it right with others.
2. Accept forgiveness and cleansing. It’s gone forever!
3. Never act guilty of that again. Especially don’t talk guilt.
4. Go boldly before the throne of your Father, asking anything you need. You are clean. God loves you. All things are possible!
5. Thank Him for it, because it’s yours. See 1 John 4. (actually, 3:21, 22)
6. Keep thanking Him. Don’t let the devil get you to say you don’t have it, because his recorders are running! J
If you want to read about the courtroom, the book of Hebrews is a great place to start. And 1 John too.
I love y’all.

healed by His stripes,
Nancy
