The Gospel

Good evening everyone,
John, at the very end of his account of the good news, writes a profound statement.
25 Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.
Think about everything that could be written down, but wasn’t. thousands of healings, miracles, signs and wonders. Maybe other dead raised, who knows? But they didn’t make the book. Hmm… That means the stories and teachings that were written down were carefully picked by the Holy Spirit. Why? Because they are the ones that directly apply to us. They are the truths that we can base our lives on, they are the events that we can expect to see here and now. They are a record of the perfect unchanging will of God for all men for all time. We can believe them, as if they were our stories. They ARE our stories! We can bank on them. when Jesus answered a question, He answered it for you and me. When He healed the blind man, He showed that He wants all blind eyes to see. Etc. get this, (this really hit home with me) no one who came to Jesus to be healed left sick. There were no unlucky ones. Praise God! His unchanging will for all men, for all time, is healing. His will for you and me, today, is healing!
