We're Blessed

Hi, y’all.
Long ago in a land far away… J sounds like fiction but this really happened. In Numbers 23, a not so godly prophet named Balaam was hired to curse Israel. Remember, his donkey talked to him. Well, he could not curse them. Let’s pick up the story with what he actually prophecied over Israel.
This was the message Balaam delivered:
"Balak summoned me to come from Aram;
the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills.
‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me!
Come and announce Israel’s doom.’
8 But how can I curse those
whom God has not cursed?
How can I condemn those
whom the Lord has not condemned?
Then the king asked him to try again. He said,
"Rise up, Balak, and listen!
Hear me, son of Zippor.
19 God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
20 Listen, I received a command to bless;
God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it!
21 No misfortune is in his plan for Jacob;
no trouble is in store for Israel.
For the Lord their God is with them;
he has been proclaimed their king.
So, Nancy, what does this have to do with us? Well, take a look at Romans 2 and Galatians 3. We are the Israel of God, circumcised in the heart! Christ has redeemed us from the curse… That the blessing of Abraham would come upon us. We are blessed with father Abraham, and God does not lie. No one and nothing can curse whom God has blessed!
I love you all. We are blessed!

He is the I AM

Good evening everyone,
The Great I AM still is. Jehovah Rapha is still the name of the Lord who heals us.
Exodus 15:26
. . . If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
(New English Bible) . . . I the Lord am your healer.
(Leeser) . . . for I the Lord am thy physician.
(Basic English) . . . I am the Lord your life-giver.
(Smith-Goodspeed) . . . for I, the Lord, make you immune to them (diseases).
(Knox) . . . I, the Lord, will bring thee only health.
Confession:
God is speaking to me now, saying, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." He is watching over His Word to perform it. He is the Lord that healeth me. He is healing me now. This Word contains the ability to produce what it says. His Word is full of healing power. I receive this Word now. Healing is God's nature. God is in me. My body is the temple of the Lord that healeth me. God is bigger than sickness and Satan. God is dwelling inside of me, healing me now.
He is, He is, He is. Forever! The loving God who heals us!
I love you all.

Pass the Test

Now thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! This morning, I was fighting thoughts of ‘when will this ever end’ and even worse. Thoughts are not always your friends. I even have an mp3 player in one ear all night long, playing the preached word of faith. But the thoughts still come. One should speak to thoughts out loud, but if I speak, people come running. So I have been whispering but today whispering wasn’t enough. I was crying out inside, ‘this is all I can bear. You promised not to let me have more than I can bear. ‘
Then I tried to focus on Jesus and stop crying, because a stopped up nose makes it hard to breathe in the mask. I felt alone, separated. I knew that the Holy Spirit was in me and Jesus was moved with compassion for me right then, but I couldn’t connect. Suddenly, I felt like I totally understood the children of Israel from Egypt. They were so rebellious and unbelieving, but so was I. If the Lord told them to do something, they wouldn’t. If He told them not to, they did. How many times has He said to roll my cares on Him because He cares for me, and I carry them? Did you know just before He says that, He says to humble myself before the mighty hand of God? I discovered today (again) that it is prideful and rebellious to keep my cares. Exactly what the Israelites did, I was doing. He was not letting me have it, and He was providing a means for my escape, but I wasn’t taking the escape route. Oh, please Lord! I want to learn, I want to pass the test, not fail because I am too scared to let go. Let go of what?! What could I possibly hang onto that would be half as sure or reliable as the true living word of God?? I don’t get me. Physical stuff changes all the time. In just a few days, this whole world is going to pass away, so why do I trust my senses more than I trust the One who made it and me? It’s ridiculous and foolish. I have read that Kenneth Hagin used to laugh at the devil when he would bring symptoms. I have not yet remembered to laugh at him, but I will. The book of James says count it all joy when you encounter different temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith exercises your patience. So it is scriptural to laugh at him. And it will discourage him and encourage you. That would be passing a test, right?
I love your replies. I am also so blessed when you come by and say hi. Oh, a quick update… We needed four people to stay with me one night every other week, and two people have volunteered. Awesome! Thank you so much, Jamie and Terri. So keep praying. It would be either every other Monday or Tuesday. Thank you all so much for your help. You are huge blessings to us. I love you all.

From the inside out

Hello everyone,
Proverbs 4:23 or 24 says keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 18 says the strong spirit of a man will sustain him through bodily pain and trouble, but a broken spirit, who can bear? This means that if you keep your spirit strong, your spirit will keep you strong. The word of God is spirit food. Feed your spirit every day, like you eat. Most of us don’t forget to eat. Help yourself to John, and Philippians for dessert. We really do live from the inside out.
Don’t let your feelings tell you how to believe. Let your faith tell you how to feel. That is living from the inside out. It is walking by faith and that is pleasing to our Father. It is not always easy, but when you do it, you give Jesus something to work with. He will not only meet you, He will move heaven and earth to honor your faith. And how hard is it to believe a God who cannot lie? I am asking myself too. J not hard if you keep your mind on him. So, let’s keep our minds on Him, through His word and praise. I love y’all.

Favor of God

Hello everyone,
I used to pray about winning competitions, but I felt guilty because God loves the others as much as He loves me. He is not a respecter of persons. See Joshua 5:
13 When Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, "Are you friend or foe?"
14 "Neither one," he replied. "I am the commander of the Lord’s army."
At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence.
Now, this was just after Moses died and Israel had renewed the covenant by circumcising all the males. So even though God loved them all the same, He has an everlasting covenant with Israel. They had the favor of God, and that broke the spirit of their enemies. If I had known about the favor of God, I would not have felt guilty because I am a covenant girl. Our covenant, initiated and sealed by the blood of Jesus, gives us an advantage over the rest of the world. Yes, He loves them, but we received Him by faith. We are children of the most high God! When you are in a battle or you need an advantage, remember you walk in the FOG, the Favor Of God. I love you all!

Reminders

Good evening everybody,
Numbers has some pretty cool stuff in it. Check this out.
Numbers 15 37 Then the Lord said to Moses, 38 "Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: Throughout the generations to come you must make tassels for the hems of your clothing and attach them with a blue cord. 39 When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. 40 The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God. 41 I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt that I might be your God. I am the Lord your God!"
See, here’s the deal. If something is important, you will find a way to remember. You will write it down or email yourself. You will put it on your fridge or your calendar.
The Lord is so smart! They did not have fridges, calendars, email or post-it notes. So the Lord had them sew reminders into their clothes.
How do you remember the Lord? Give yourself some reminders around your home, office and car. Tassels are good, but post-its are ok, too! J
I love you all. Carpe zoe!

Follow the Lord

Good afternoon everybody,
See what you get out of the following passage. You will probably see what I saw…
Numbers 9 15 On the day the Tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it.[d] But from evening until morning the cloud over the Tabernacle looked like a pillar of fire. 16 This was the regular pattern—at night the cloud that covered the Tabernacle had the appearance of fire. 17 Whenever the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel would break camp and follow it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel would set up camp. 18 In this way, they traveled and camped at the Lord’s command wherever he told them to go. Then they remained in their camp as long as the cloud stayed over the Tabernacle. 19 If the cloud remained over the Tabernacle for a long time, the Israelites stayed and performed their duty to the Lord. 20 Sometimes the cloud would stay over the Tabernacle for only a few days, so the people would stay for only a few days, as the Lord commanded. Then at the Lord’s command they would break camp and move on. 21 Sometimes the cloud stayed only overnight and lifted the next morning. But day or night, when the cloud lifted, the people broke camp and moved on. 22 Whether the cloud stayed above the Tabernacle for two days, a month, or a year, the people of Israel stayed in camp and did not move on. But as soon as it lifted, they broke camp and moved on. 23 So they camped or traveled at the Lord’s command, and they did whatever the Lord told them through Moses.
… So, did you see what I saw? These people were the ones who complained, rebelled, refused to enter the promised land, etc. But they did obey in these things, and they stayed near the presence of the Lord. ‘but it was a cloud. It was obvious. If I had a cloud, I would be able to follow.’ You have a much better deal. You have the Word, and the Spirit of the living God lives inside of you! Jesus said you are His sheep and you know His voice. So when He moves, you go ahead and break camp. When He stays, settle down. The Israelites looked at the tabernacle in the desert, but we look at the tabernacle in our hearts.
I love you all.

make a list and check it twice

good evening everyone.
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:19
I had a visit from a precious friend today. It is such a blessing to see friends! I just love you guys! Anyway, the reason I brought it up is that in the course of our conversation we began talking about a career opportunity for her. Brian began to tell her how the Lord blessed us with his current job, and in the same way, our house. I was so blessed by the story I wanted to share it with you.
Brian was running his own business and I had just started teaching again. It was about a year after 9/11 and business was a little slow. We had been praying about wisdom and direction from the Lord concerning his career, and felt like the Lord told us that whatever we wanted (his company or a day job) was ok, He would bless us. So Brian decided that a day job would be better at that point, and we sat down together and made a list of everything we wanted in a job for him. The salary, benefits, retirement, commute, a Christian manager, etc. We wrote it down, asked in prayer, agreed and left it to the Lord. A few weeks later Brian interviewed and a few more weeks later he was working. We looked at the list, and the Lord had completely satisfied every want on the list! Praise God! The same thing happened with our house… We made a list and asked. You have not because you ask not. Well, the Lord blessed us with everything we asked again. He is awesome!!
So I encourage you to make a list, ask the Lord and agree with someone, then watch as God Almighty moves heaven and earth to get you what you asked for!! He is so so good to us!!! I love you all.

What are you going to do?

Hi, everyone.
How many times have you heard that thought in your head, ‘what are you going to do if ___?’ (fill in the blank)
Understand that the question is not always productive. Usually the devil is badgering you with it. Remember this… You don’t have to answer his questions. Instead, remind him that you are a blood bought child of God, and if worse comes to worse you will go to be with Jesus in a PERFECT world! But what is he going to do?? He is going to be chained up and thrown in the bottomless pit. Even now, he is losing souls by the millions! Ask and tell him, he won’t stick around for long.
Now I am not saying don’t prepare for the future. I’m just saying don’t play with the devil’s thoughts. He’s the loser, you are the winner!! Feel free to let him know, in great detail.
I love you all.

The Land of the Living

Good evening everyone. Carpe zoe! J
Psalm 27:13 says, I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Sometimes this is the only rock I can stand on. When symptoms try to overwhelm me, and my whole family, I have to expect the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. If I don’t, what will the devil be able to do? Lots. He brings in strife and self pity, not just to me but to everyone in the house.
But bless God, we have a choice. We can be confident that God is good. And good is not a nebulous, ambiguous concept. Heaven is good, hell is bad. Love is good, hate is bad. Health is good, sickness is bad. Abundance is good, lack is bad. God is good! He is totally good and has nothing bad to give. If you hear someone say that God gave them cancer, don’t believe it. It’s not good, so it’s not God. If your mind reacts with irritation, as we all have at times, you are not full. Your spirit is starving. Feed your spirit on the goodness of God.
Ask yourself this question… When my answer fully manifests, how will that affect my spirit? How will I be different? Not what will I do different, but how will I BE different inside? Really imagine it. Close your eyes and see it.
Now, here’s the challenge; be that way by faith now. As if it is already done. God honors that kind of faith. It defies logic and gives the Lord a legal right to work on your behalf. Impatience, self pity and bitterness only gives the devil a way in. if you feel irritated when you are told that God is good, I understand. When all you can see is lack, sickness, pain and a dismal future, you can get bitter with some Pollyanna singing about how good God is. That is why you can’t see that junk. Are you breathing ? Can you see and hear? Do you have a place to sleep? Thanks be to God! Are your children healthy? Can you eat? Maybe it would be good to make a long list of your blessings so you can smile when you hear that God is good. Believe that God is good to you today, in the here and now, the land of the living. Thanks opens doors for the Lord to work His miraculous goodness for your good.
It is a wondrous fact that God is good. He is for you. He loves you.
God is good, to you, today!

Carpe Zoe

Hello everyone. May all the blessings in Deuteronomy 28 overtake you in Jesus name. You know, sometimes I feel like a hypocrite when I write you, because I don’t perfectly live out what I write. But feelings are only feelings. We don’t go by feelings, right? We are made righteous by the blood of Jesus and our faith in His name. That is the truth that stands, amen?
1 Timothy 6:12 says 12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Lay hold on eternal life. I don’t have access to my Strong’s concordance, but I remember the greek word for eternal life is ‘zoe’, which really means the God –kind of life, or the characteristics of God Himself. The Holy Spirit brought zoe into our spirits. I heard a teacher speaking on receiving, and he said that the greek word translated ‘lay hold’ here is the same word translated ‘receive’ in Mark 11:24, you know, believe you receive. He read some definitions for that word; to take, to lay hold of, to seize it. I don’t think the bible word is carpe, because carpe is latin, but it means seize also. So the following phrase is probably a kind of spanglish mix of greek and latin (gratin?) but I like it.
Carpe zoe! Seize God’s eternal, lush, victorious life!
I love y’all. Carpe zoe!

Wise to the Devil's Devices

Good evening everybody,
As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God. Romans 8:14.
It’s an interesting fact that two people can’t lead each other at the same time. One will lead and the other will follow. They can switch off, but both can’t lead at the same time. In order to be led by the Spirit, we have to follow. Our flesh has to take a back seat. Minute by minute, we decide who leads.
When the Spirit has some direction for you, it won’t usually be spectacular. Usually it seems like a thought from inside. Is it the Lord or your flesh? A quick test is 1 corinthians 13. But another test is the next thought. If it fights with the first thought with something about yourself, then the first thought was probably the Lord. The devil will remind you about yourself. That is his trick. So let’s not be ignorant of his schemes. The only way he gets in is right there, right then. If a person is completely led by the Spirit, he or she will have it made. None of us are, but we could be. All things are possible to him that believes. So it is simple, on paper. J ignore the devil, obey the Lord.
I love you all. Be blessed, y’all!

bearing witness and obedience

Hello everyone.
I was reminded today of a life lesson from Growing Kids God’s Way, the parenting class. Delayed obedience is disobedience. I have wonderful children, but they are still learning. For that matter, we all are. Well, it was interesting today, one of my children told me she would do her chores later because she was busy. Understand their full list of jobs, even if they did them slowly, carefully and thoroughly would take at most thirty minutes. Usually about fifteen. Two hours later she was still busy, but when she wanted something, she wanted it right then. I wonder how many times we have done this with the Lord. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. But we have lots of things we do during our lives. Some things are good and others might be extra things, and because of them we tell the Lord we are busy ‘right now’, we will definitely do it ‘later’. What if we forget? Is that an excuse? I used to be a master of procrastination. I say used to be by faith. J So many times it would be simpler if I had just gotten up and done it. Have you been there?
Romans 8:14, I think, says that sons (male and female) of God are led by the Spirit of God. I know sometimes when my children ask about something, I have something else to talk about to them first. Are we sometimes wanting wisdom in one area but the Lord has been trying to deal with us in another area, so He seems not forthcoming? If we want to move forward with the Lord, being led by the Spirit, we will have to do that thing first. Remember, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. So just do it now! J
I love y’all.

Jericho was a fight, but not much of one

Blessings everyone.
You know, I made a declaration yesterday and I am still putting my feet on it. I am not moved by what I see. I will not die but live and declare the works of God. With long life He will satisfy me, and show me His salvation. I wait upon (worshiping) the Lord and He renews my strength. I will run and not be weary. I will walk and not faint. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes me to triumph in Christ.
At Jericho, the ram’s horns further terrified the city, but the people of Israel were not allowed to speak. Not a word. Wonder why? J
Years ago my kids would get in trouble, and I would put them on a word fast. They could not say a word to each other for however long. Made for some peaceful car rides. The point is I could not trust their words. Maybe the Lord couldn’t quite trust the people yet. Their parents certainly could not be trusted with words. At any rate, the Lord specifically wanted a shofar septet. And it says that they marched; wonder if they were in step? Over a million people would cause quite a shake, don’t you think? In the same way, praise music terrorizes the enemy’s forces. They get confused. That is a good thing.
So I guess our lesson can be to praise, play praise music and set a watch over our mouths. In other words, if it is not praise, thanks or faith, don’t say nuttin’ at all. J Love y’all. Be blessed!

Jericho, et al

Good afternoon everybody.
I have discovered something for the umpteenth time last night. Again, the Lord showed me that my faith works like when the children of Israel went into the promised land. The Lord told them that everything they tread upon was theirs. Did they get the whole country the first day? No, they couldn’t put their feet down that fast.
The Lord showed me that faith works at least that well, but it requires something from us. We can’t just sit around singing Kum Bah Yah (come by here) and expect God to take us over. He expects something out of us. After all, He has fed us His word, filled us with His spirit, kept and protected us, etc. We know more about the goodness of God than we did years ago. So, as growing children, we have the opportunity and freedom to do the Word like He has raised us to do. That includes those scriptures like Mark 11:24 and Proverbs 18:21 and many others about our words. How about james 3? Now, why did I go there? I was talking about the children of Israel… Let’s look at their words. ‘we are too small, too weak. You should have let us go back to Egypt. We’re going to die in this wilderness.’ They made excuses and did not take the land that was already theirs. So their children had to do it forty years later after their words came true. Only Joshua and Caleb lived because they spoke words of faith. ‘we can take it. God is with us.’

So about us, are our words full of excuses or reasons why we can’t defeat the devil, at least not today? When Jesus healed people, many times (the majority) He required some action. ‘Show yourself to the priest’ when you’re still unclean and could be killed for showing up at temple. ‘Go your way’ when you asked Him to come with you. ‘rise and walk’, ‘go wash’, ‘stretch out’, ‘look up’. Stuff to do. Doing the Word is being humble enough to trust the everlasting, perfect, God-breathed, powerful Word above your (my) tiny, short sighted intellect. It is obeying the word when you don’t understand. The word, rightly divided by more word, (the mouth of two or three witnesses) never steers you wrong.
God gave me smarts, and I thank Him for them. I have to work sometimes at trusting through my mind into my spirit, then going back through my mind to obey with my body, most usually my mouth. I know y’all are smart, so it is possible that you might have the same issue.
The next generation of the children of Israel were willing to obey and take the land. They did take it, one city at a time. The bible says what happened to them in the old testament was an example for us. So if you are believing in Jesus for something big, it might be easier to break it into chunks. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
For example, I believe that I am already healed by the stripes of Jesus. I believe I have received total restoration of my singing voice, my hugging arms, praising hands and dancing feet and legs. It’s already mine but I get to take it. Today I took strong full breathing without help, and I am expecting it now. It’s my Jericho. I went a little longer without the bipap (breathing machine) today. I will breathe all day without it, then all night too. In the meantime, the Lord is working on the rest of my body too. And I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Praise God! So take your dreams one step at a time, but don’t lose sight of the whole thing either. I love you all.

Pet in a pit

Hello, blessed brothers and sisters,
Most of us have had a pet at some point in our lives. If our pet had somehow gotten in trouble, we would do whatever to get them out, wouldn’t we?
Jesus said some things about animals in distress. Look at matthew 12,
10and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"
11He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12How much more valuable is a man than a sheep!
And then in Luke 14,
2And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day? 4And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go; 5And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
And also Luke 13,
The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
In all three cases, Jesus compares sick people to animals in distress. How many of us, if our animal was in a hole, will pray about whether to help it? Is it the Lord ‘s will or not? Jesus is saying it is always His will to heal people even if it goes crosswise with religious tradition. If you notice in all four books of the gospel, no one who came to Jesus for healing left unhappy. There were no unlucky ones; none that Jesus said ‘it’s not quite your time’ or ‘you need to work on something first’. He healed them all. Even when religion said it’s not time for miracles, (sound familiar? Some denominations say healing is not for today) Jesus healed every one.
‘well, that was Jesus!’ The bible says that Jesus emptied Himself of all supernatural ability and became a man as we are. He only did what He saw the Father do. So what does that mean? Jesus was the perfect representation of the unchanging will of God for all men for all time!! Go back to the four gospel accounts and read it like it’s His will and desire for you, today. Because it is, glory to God!
Selah (let it soak in). I love you all.

May the Source be with you Always

Good afternoon, precious brothers and sisters in Christ.
The first four words of the bible show us Who the Source of the universe is, and the first six words of John agree. In the beginning God… In the beginning was the Word. (going further, the Word was God, and the Word made everything that was made). He feeds the birds and clothes the flowers (Matthew 6 and Luke 12), so He will take care of you. Not my words, RED words! Jesus said that He would. So He is our Source, our El Shaddai daddy. He made everything, He maintains everything, answers our prayers and helps us find a good parking place, too. I mean, He literally lives within us, and He knows exactly how many hairs are on your head. He is bigger than every single need of every single person put together. He is smaller than the smallest cell in your body, and He knows every tiny problem in the making. He will not only feed you, he will tell you what is good for you to eat knowing what is happening in there. J like the famous line from Star Wars when Darth Vader is trying to shoot Luke Skywalker in his x-wing; ‘the force is strong in this one’, I want people to say (not the force) ‘the Source is strong in nancy’. He is strong in me, praise God!
The Source is with you! J listen to the Source. Ok, enough Star Wars puns.
He really is the Source for you. Our Father, our Brother, the Holy Spirit. The Source of everything good. Praise God forevermore!
I love y’all.

God is a BIG God

Whatever your need, God’s supply is infinitely multiplied more. Be it money, health, peace, safety or whatever, He has so much of it that your piece will not even deplete it, not one iota. In fact, when you ask anything, His response is ‘sure! Anything else? Is that really all?’ 2 Corinthians 1:20 and 1 John speaks of how He answers us with yes and amen, and we have the petitions we ask. We have it. There is no maybe, no but, no ‘wow, that’s gonna tap me out.’ Isn’t that awesome?
Make Him your only source. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Trial

Good evening everybody. We are blessed, praise God!
Every trial has an expiration date.
And every day we are one day closer.
Praise God! We don’t look at the natural stuff because it is temporary and constantly changing. Instead we look at the unchanging, eternal word of God. 2 Corinthians 4:18. 18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
We are eternal beings. This life is the shortest thing we will ever do, even if we last the whole 120 years. Everything around us wears out. We don’t. trust eternal things like the word of God and the blood of Jesus. They will never fail! The trials will expire! J

What Faith Looks like

Good afternoon everybody. Bless the Lord!
As a school teacher and unofficial observer of the human race, I’ve seen lots of people of all ages react to all different circumstances, from young children scared of swinging high to grandparent guardians of a troubled teen. I’ve seen kids try to be kids while parents were divorcing and families who lost a parent, both suddenly and slowly. I’ve seen parents lose children to disease. But I’ve also seen families reconcile, and parents overcome disease. I’ve seen teens beat severe test anxiety and little ones get over the fear of heights. And I knew that there were some characteristics that showed me true faith, but I really couldn’t put it into words. However after all of the sermons I have heard online, (free at www.morelifenow.org ‘word supply’ and www.kcm.org ‘media’ ‘on demand’) I heard two sayings that do a good job, and they are based on scripture. The first is this; (Hebrews ) faith is a rest. The second is this;
Doubt despairs, complains and is sad. Faith rejoices, gives thanks and is glad.
When I first heard that, I was a little miffed. Because I was in ‘the fight of faith’, I wasn’t really glad. But as he explained, if you really believe you received like Mark 11:24 says, then you know the victory is yours, and you will be glad. It took me a long time (he says it in many different sermons) to finally have the boldness to look at my life as well as those I’ve watched. Boy, it was hard. Most of them said the things you expect to hear. I know I did, and got worse. So please understand this is not an indictment on anyone’s spiritual strength or character.
Kenneth Hagin said that during his battle for life, when heart spells came, he would laugh at them, because he knew that if satan could have, he would already have killed him. So far, I have not remembered to laugh at breathing issues when they have gotten severe. But satan has not been, nor will he be, able to kill me. So I should laugh at him every day, because I win. 2 Corinthians 2:14 ‘thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ’. We win today. We win tomorrow. We win always!
Hebrews talks about the children of Israel being unbelieving, and what did it look like? They murmured and complained, they cried and despaired because of the giants in their land, and they blamed Moses and others for their problems. Have I ever done any of that?
What did Paul and Silas do in prison, after being beaten and facing the death penalty? They sang praise songs, rejoicing. They had big smiles and big welts. Paul did not deny the problems but he always focused on the answer. 2 Corinthians 4 tells us how he focused…
8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
‘yeah, but that was the great Paul’. Paul was a man. He was in the same church we are in and had the same Holy Spirit we have. We have no excuse, really.
So rejoice, give thanks, be glad and rest, knowing that your Father loves you, Jesus redeemed you from everything evil, you have believed you received, and you have the petitions you ask! In the Lord ‘s mind, it’s done. And you have the mind or Christ, so you know it’s done!
That is what faith looks like. I love you all.

Walk in the Light

Happy Independence Day! Let’s pray together for the president, staff, congress, the senate, and the supreme court. Let’s pray that God would open the eyes of their understanding , like Ephesians 1 says. We break the power of the forces of evil in their lives in the name of Jesus. May they be free to make godly decisions as our leaders.
This email was supposed to go out yesterday; I apologize. .
Proverbs 4:18 says, ‘18 The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.’
My last five years have been progressively defined and limited by a foul, devilish disease. The name Lou Gherig’s strikes fear in many hearts, much like leprosy did in biblical times. But it is only a curse. Jesus became the curse and completely destroyed every power of the enemy. No matter how big and scary that giant is, it is still an ‘uncircumcized philistine’. We have an everlasting covenant with the most high God, circumcised in the heart. Praise God! No weapon formed against us shall prosper. And every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we will condemn. This is our heritage. I condemn spirits of doubt, despair, discouragement and ‘tell it like it is’. What good does it do to restate the obvious? It brings my heart down to my body rather than the other way around. Some people think I’m lying when I say I am strong, but Joel 3:10 tells the weak to say they are strong. I obey the word because James 1:22 says to be a doer of the word. So I am healed because He says I am. I am forgiven, righteous, free and whole because He says so. When the symptoms come up, does the ink on the pages of your bible rearrange to say something different? God forbid!! No, his word is truth. His word is the only real, living truth. This book is a physical manifestation of God himself. See John 1:1. Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The word for ‘word’ means ‘anointed word’ or one that speaks to you. I think that is what proverbs 4:22 means by ‘find them’. It means seek or search the scriptures until one talks to you. Then you have found the precious treasure, the pearl of great price. Now you have a word from God, and it is alive in your heart. John speaks of Jesus in chapter one, verse 14, saying the Word was made flesh. But when you find a word of scripture that speaks to you, that word becomes flesh in you. Oh, how can anybody say the bible is boring?! It is like a treasure hunt in a bank vault. You know it’s there. As you find more and more treasure, the light of the knowledge of the glorious gospel of Christ will shine in your heart, and you will be on the path that proverbs 4:18 talks about. (see top of message)
I love you all. You are my spiritual, eternal family. Here’s to eternity together!

Draw Near

God bless you, everyone.
Sir Isaac Newton was instrumental in the development of physics and he invented calculus. He was also a devout Christian and wrote a few commentaries on the scriptures.
Anyway, his three laws of motion explain how just about everything moves in the whole universe. And remember, all physical laws mirror spiritual principles. His third law says for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. When you push on a door, for instance, you feel the door pushing you. In God’s word, the principle is ‘draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Resist the devil and he will flee from you’. So when you pull toward God, He pulls toward you. When you push the devil away, you will feel the pressure of him pushing you, but just like the door, he will move out of your way. Praise the Lord! I love y’all.

God Sait It

Bless all y’all in Jesus’ name.
When my grandmother moved to heaven, I inherited one of her bibles. It is special, but the notes she wrote on slips of paper are even more, because they represent rhema words from the Lord to her. One note that I found said, ‘God said it. I believe it. That settles it.’ I really like that saying.
This week I was listening to and laughing at Jesse Duplantis, and he mentioned this saying and made me think… He said ‘it’s really simpler than that. God said it. That settles it.’ Now I can choose to believe or not, but it’s still true. I can choose not to believe that the law of gravity, but it will still work. God’s laws work. We can work them for us, or else let them work for others and watch. I don’t want to be just looking anymore, how about you? Let’s learn His laws of operation, work them and please our Father. After all, He said it. That settles it.
I love you all,

Speed of Light

Hello everyone!
I am having a little trouble getting through the Verizon spam filter, but I found out that if you add my address to your contacts, it will probably go through. If you missed emails last week, maybe I didn’t get through for you.
1 John says God is light. Light travels so fast that it is basically instant here on earth. But at 187, 000 miles per hour, it takes about eight minutes for the sun’s rays to hit the earth. How long does it take our prayers to reach heaven? No time because they don’t have to reach past our nose. We have the spirit of the living God inside us!
I love you all.
