Moses etc

Good afternoon everybody,
Numbers 12 tells us a little about Moses. 3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
Think of Moses, ‘let my people go’ and the ten commandments and all that. Humble is not the word I would use to describe him, but the bible is right. If I see it a different way, I am wrong. The bible is right. So, there must be something I do not know about humility. Can humility make you as bold as a lion? Can humility give you enough guts to order the death of about 3thousand calf worshipers? Can humility help you get water from a rock? Here’s a better question… Is God humble?
We can look at Jesus to find out. Hebrews says He was the exact representation of the Father. Jesus said in Matthew 11, 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
So Jesus was humble too. The man who told demons to shut up and get out, who called Pharisees hypocrites and brood of vipers, who said that He was anointed, that man. On the surface, He doesn’t look humble. The Pharisees didn’t think so, either. But He was the perfect example of humility. And He still is. He said He could do nothing without the Father. He said that He only said what He heard the Father say and He only did what He saw the Father doing.
So we can learn about humility from two humble people in the bible. They were not weak. They had the nerve to be and do what God said. Only. Well, Jesus was perfect. Moses did have that one problem when he took credit for getting water out of the rock. But the Lord called him the most humble man on the planet at the time.
I believe that we can learn about true humility from the experts. Daring to be only what the word of God says we are, righteous in Christ, more than conquerors through Him, etc. knowing, and acknowledging, that we live, move and have our being only in Him. His grace gives us every ability, every dollar, every breath. And He is so happy to!
I love y’all

Healed by His stripes,
Nancy Bass
