Good afternoon everybody,
I am sorry I missed yesterday. No excuse. Also a quick update; praise God! Thanks thanks thanks, Pam and Wendy, for taking Tuesday nights. You did a wonderful job, Pam. Also thanks again to Terri and Jamie, who are taking Thursday nights. And thanks again, Kim and Kathy for Sundays and Di, for whenever needed. God is faithful. He has provided again! Brian can sleep and function at work, knowing that I am in good hands.
Today someone asked me if I had heard anything from the Lord lately. Goodness. He is speaking to all of us, all the time. The question is are we listening?
He speaks through the sunshine, kids laughing, even kids fussing can show us how we look. God has used saints, sinners and even donkeys to speak to us. How do we know if it is the Lord? By the inward witness, that check or confirmation from the Holy Spirit in our spirit. Good words from the Lord don’t always come how we expect. We can be thrown off if it rubs our flesh the wrong way. Proverbs has so much to say about accepting instruction, I could not decide on one scripture. Suffice to say God values learning. If we are teachable, we are wise. If we are not teachable, we are foolish. Biblical foolishness is not silliness, it is rebellion. Not a good thing. But we are wise, amen? Amen! I encourage you and me to find the teachable moments from the Lord, and learn. There is always something to learn. If you have encouragement for me, I would love to learn from you, too. I love you all!
