Swim Light

Good afternoon friends,
Jesus said many things that seem harsh today. (they seemed harsh then, too). But we must trust that the things He said were not only necessary and important for us, but also quite literally true. For instance, Mark 9:42 says,
And whosoever shall offend (trip up, cause to stumble) one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Ouch! According to Jesus, if we discourage, or trip up, someone who is believing God for something, a better use for us is, ‘bloop!’. So don’t let yourself talk about the bad economy to someone who is believing God for enough to pay the bills. Don’t ask someone standing for healing how they ‘really’ feel and especially don’t ever ever tell them they have to accept that they are worse. Friends, that is injecting spiritual poison. If they are fighting the flu, the result is not as serious but in a case where someone is fighting death, we could find ourselves answering to God for our comments. If you can’t think of something to say, quote a good scripture. Even if you are not in faith, you won’t be taking the wind out of their sails. Jesus meant it. He is quick to forgive though. Let’s start fresh today. Ephesians 4:29 says encourage one another and build each other up. So, ok, I encourage you today in encouraging others . J God is good and His love endures forever! No millstones for us!! We’ll be swimming light.
I love you all,
healed by His stripes,
Nancy Bass
