Good evening everyone,
Romans 5:16 says
For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.
Condemnation brings fear of punishment, and according to 1 John 3:21, 21Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;
22and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
So condemnation destroys confidence. It is the opposite of righteousness. Adam brought condemnation into the world, and by our sin we got it. But praise God, Jesus took it all away! We are now righteous and can have confidence coming right up to the throne of Grace. Since we are clean by the blood of Jesus, we have no fear of punishment. Then our Father can give us whatever we ask. Isn’t that awesome? Awesome!
Say it with me. I am not condemned, I am righteous. Because of Jesus, I have confidence before my Father. I receive whatever I ask in Jesus’ name.
I love you all,
healed by His stripes,
Nancy
