Good afternoon everybody. This is from Kenneth Hagin’s devotional, Health Food Devotional. He is telling someone a snippet of his life story, and it really blessed me. I think you might get something out of it, as well.
Let them [God's words] not depart from thine eyes.... (Prov. 4:21)
I shared with this dear old woman, "The doctors said I was dying. I lived and relived my death over and over in my mind. In my mind's eye, I saw the doctors turn my body over to the undertaker to prepare it for burial. I saw them take the casket and go to the church. I saw them roll the casket down the aisle and set it before the pulpit.
"I heard the people sing the last song and pray the last prayer. I saw them close the lid and roll the casket down the aisle. I saw the pallbearers put it into the hearse. I saw the funeral procession. I saw all of this many times in my mind.
"I watched as a graveside prayer was said. I saw everyone leave. I saw them put the casket into the ground. I saw the flowers on the fresh mound of dirt. I saw the flowers wither and die. I saw the hot sun of summer beat down on the grave. I saw myself dead.
"But I got hold of Proverbs 4:21 and began to see myself alive. I asked myself, 'What would I do if I were up?' I said, 'I'd preach. That's what I'd do.' So I began to make sermon notes and get ready to preach."
I said to the woman, "See yourself well. See your huge stomach shrunk down to its normal size. See yourself preaching again. See yourself traveling and holding meetings. It doesn't matter if you are eighty-two years old. God doesn't want you to die like this. God wants to heal you."
Ten months later, I went back to that church, and that woman was perfectly healed! She was traveling and preaching. Instead of looking eighty-two years old, she didn't look a day over fifty-five.
She said to the pastor and me, "I'm sure glad you didn't let me die. I just came back from my first meeting since I received my healing. I'm going to preach all summer and the rest of the winter.
"I did what you said, Brother Hagin. I began to see myself well. I looked at my huge stomach and saw it flat." She had kept the Word of God before her eyes.
Confession
I see myself well. I see every symptom leaving. I see myself living a normal and healthy life.

What do you see?
I see myself breathing without help. I see myself eating.
I see myself walking. I see myself hugging my children.
I see myself dressed up, going places.
I see myself sharing the gospel. Around the world! With my family.
I see us financially able to make a difference in the lives of everyone God puts in our path.
If you don’t see God’s bright future for you, change your mind. Renew it like romans 12:2 says.
I love y’all dearly!

You will Reap
Good evening everyone,
Psalm 126 has beautiful words of hope,
1 When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem,[a]
it was like a dream!
2 We were filled with laughter,
and we sang for joy.
And the other nations said,
“What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”
3 Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us!
What joy!
4 Restore our fortunes, Lord,
as streams renew the desert.
5 Those who plant in tears
will harvest with shouts of joy.
6 They weep as they go to plant their seed,
but they sing as they return with the harvest.
Do you feel like every day you are planting seeds in sorrow? Not only financial, but seeds of love, time, faith, forgiveness, anything. If it seems difficult, like you don’t have anything left to give, this is for you. You have the promise of the Lord of Hosts, the God who cannot lie, guaranteed by the Blood of Jesus. You will reap in joy. You WILL!
Merry Christmas everybody, I love y’all dearly!

Psalm 118
Good afternoon everybody,
Psalm 118 is simply wonderful! In the old testament, physical enemies are types, or examples, of the forces we fight daily in the spirit. So check this out.
10 Though hostile nations surrounded me,
I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
11 Yes, they surrounded and attacked me,
but I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
12 They swarmed around me like bees;
they blazed against me like a crackling fire.
But I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.
13 My enemies did their best to kill me,
but the Lord rescued me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song;
he has given me victory.
15 Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly.
The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!
16 The strong right arm of the Lord is raised in triumph.
The strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things!
17 I will not die; instead, I will live
to tell what the Lord has done.
So I (we) have his promise, we will not die but live to tell what the Lord has done. Why? Because the strong right arm of the Lord has done glorious things! When a king extends his scepter of authority, it is with his right arm. The Lord has extended His authority to us. We bear His name and everything that name means. Talk about marrying UP! =)
Did verses 10-12 say that the Lord destroyed the enemies? No, it says we destroyed them with the authority of the Lord.
Notice that the Lord HAS DONE glorious things, not someday in the sweet by and by, but in the here and now. He GAVE us His authority, we use it, and He backs it with His strong right arm. How do we use His authority? With our words. Every word we speak carries His authority, even the not good words. So, ‘be careful little mouth, what you say’ (children’s song)
The end result is triumph!
I love y’all dearly!

AbraHAM, please
Good afternoon everybody,
In Genesis, there is a man named Abram. He had been blessed by God, beat kings in battle, walked through the blood in covenant with God Himself, and had Ishmael in his own strength. He has been shown the stars in the sky, representing the number of children he will have. And still does not have the child of promise. Abram is ninety nine, and Ishmael is thirteen. And now God promises specifically that Sarai will be the mother, and he laughs. She is 90. Abram asks God to bless Ishmael, so he won’t have to work his faith anymore. You know, walking by faith is not easy. With each passing month, Sarai was getting older. She was barren all her life, and gave up hope when she gave her servant to Abram for bearing a child.
So Abram laughs and asks God to bless Ishmael. God has another plan, though, and it involves (uh huh) more faith. He calls Abram (meaning ‘exalted father’) a new name, Abraham (meaning ‘father of many’) and Sarai Sarah.
Now Abraham has a choice… every time someone calls him Abram, he can ignore it and leave well enough alone or he can say, ‘I am Abraham now.’ He can make it a private thing between him and God, or risk being a laughingstock by making everyone call him Abraham. I mean, he had hundreds of servants, he was envied by kings. They might have been snickering behind his back.
Did he know that if he kept quiet, he could hinder the plan of God? I don’t know. But he did make it public, gave God glory ahead of time, and had Isaac about a year later!
So why did I choose this story? Because I was given a name a few years back, when I was walking with a walker. Several ladies called me by this name, but I was, well, a little embarrassed by it. I wasn’t sure it was really from the Lord. I didn’t think it was that important, and maybe it isn’t. But then this year someone else called me by this name, so maybe it is from the Lord. Maybe I should not be embarrassed by it. Well, here goes. The name is twinkletoes. Sounds ridiculous to me. But I bet Abraham sounded funny to Abraham while he was still Abram.
So I am twinkletoes. :} quite a faith statement. It refers to a dancer who is especially graceful on her feet. Usually little girls.
Has the Lord given you a name, or a word for your future ? Remember, every word in the New testament is written to you personally. Every word in the old testament is an example for you. He calls you righteous. He calls you His child, His brother, His bride. He calls you healed. He calls you blessed. He calls you strong. He even calls you rich. It’s all in the new testament. You!
Now the question is, will you call yourself all that? Will you, will I, look at the ‘seen’ stuff to dictate who we are, or will we call ourselves what God calls us? God looks at us only through eyes of faith. Why? Because it is who He is! Ephesians 5 says to imitate Him. Why? Because it is who you are!
I call myself righteous, His child, brother and bride, healed, blessed, strong and rich. And yes, I call myself twinkletoes, too. I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. You will too!!!

A Heart of Thanks
Good evening, everyone.
A dear friend shared this poem with me; she was in her quiet time when the Lord gave it to her. Our special time with the Lord may not always produce poetry, but He always brings something. And He enjoys His time with us, like we enjoy our time with our children. So don’t forget to spend time with the Almighty Creator, your loving Father. the more you do, the more you have to share with your family. And you will be happier too!
I love y’all dearly, and Merry Christmas!

Here's the poem...
A Heart of Thanksgiving
By Marilyn Jaderlund 11-26-2009
Your love so deep, Your love so wide; A mountain strong where I may hide.
Your waves of love flow over me as endless as the deep blue sea.
What love is this, such mystery. This endless love gave all to rescue me.
Upon the cross, Your crimson flow to wash me clean, as white as snow.
How great this love that knows no end; To go wherever You may send.
A debt of love, no sum could pay. What you redeemed that victorious day.
So great a love beyond words to say; You gave up all to show the way.
I heard Your call and opened wide; My heart to fill with this love inside.
A heart revived, alive, renewed; I surrender all with gratitude.
How great this love that knows no bounds; My heart now beats with heavens sound.
This love to give where You may send. Eternal life - the promised end.
And when I finish this lifes race; His loving arms around me embrace.
This love so deep, so long, so wide; Now face to face, I became His bride.
His banner of love, does He now raise; My heart will sing with endless praise.

Dead Ant, Dead Ant
Good afternoon everybody,
I was really encouraged by the following :
If you measure the disease or sickness—or test or trial—you're going through against God and His ability rather than against you and your ability, there will be no comparison! There would be no more comparison than there would be between an elephant and an ant! – Kenneth E. Hagin, excerpt from Health Food Devotional
The problems we face don’t come from God. God does not tempt us with evil, the Holy spirit said through James. Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights.
But our Good Shepherd is with us through every valley, and He is always leading us out! And… He is the elephant, remember. Do you remember that pink panther theme song? Sing it with me, ‘dead ant, dead ant,… ‘ The ant is not only small, it is as good as dead. Just follow Him, Jesus, your Good Shepherd, right on out of the test, trial or disease. Praise God for your answer because your answer is “YES!!” 1 Corinthians 1:20. Or, 2 corinthians 1:20.
Thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ!
I love y’all,,

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Even if we did nothing but praise Jesus 24/7 for the rest of eternity, He would still deserve more. Isn’t it great that although He deserves it, He does not get mad at us if we don’t?
Yet the bible teaches us to bless the Lord or give thanks or praise Him ‘at all times’, ‘continually’, and ‘in everything’. Why? Like everything else He tells us, for our good. When you are thinking about and talking about what is good, by thanking God, you are happier and healthier in the natural, and spiritually you are shutting down the devil and opening the windows of heaven. Make it a lifestyle! Something so second nature you do it by instinct.
Now thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ!! 2 cor. 2:14

Giving Thanks
Good evening everyone,
I’ve been thinking, is it ‘giving’ if the Person to whom you are giving deserves far more than you can ever give? But then, what would we call it? Paying? Offering? I don’t know, it was just a thought.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever!!

Learn of Him
Good afternoon everybody,
Matthew 11:28-30 (again) has been playing around in my head.
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
You see, a singing group called Take 6 has recorded it in a song, so the song keeps coming back to me. The Lord brought up a different part of the scripture to me this time. Right smack in the middle of the promises for rest, Jesus said “learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.” Why would He choose this place for describing Himself? Why did He choose those two attributes, among the many He could have chosen? He could have said ‘I am anointed’ or ‘I am holy’ or lots of things, but He chose meek and lowly in heart. Why?
The Lord impressed on my heart that this is key to the rest He is talking about. Meekness, or humility as some translations say, is how Jesus stayed in the rest of God. And thankfulness is completely intertwined within humility… You can’t be humble without being thankful. Just think about the most humble person you know, really humble, and you will hear thanks from them a lot.
So again, thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I love y’all dearly! Oh, look. It’s almost thanksgiving! :D

How big is your Cup?
Good afternoon everybody,
I was told a word picture years ago, and it has stuck with me. It was a picture of God, standing next to a water tower of His blessings. It was bigger than the sun! The faucet He was ready to open was as big around as the earth. And here we come, asking Him to fill us up, and we have this little teacup!
Can we limit God? He is infinite! Can we keep Him from doing what He wants to do in our lives? If you are like me, you are asking, ‘where is the scripture?’
Psalm 78:40, 41 says about the children of Israel…
40How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
41Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
So according to scripture, we can limit God, as far as what He can do for us. It is we who decide how big our cup is.
This leads to the question,, ‘how do I make my cup bigger?’
A lesson series from Keith Moore’s sermons online (www.morelifenow.org ) called ‘Thanksgiving Victory’ directly addresses that question. And basically the title says it, but there is so much GOOD information I wish I could get across to you. It doesn’t come across in writing. He talks about Hannah, Ahab, Jezebel, Rachel, Joseph and the brothers, Jesus, etc. And, he links them all up in thankfulness and humility, or unthankfulness and pride. VERY enlightening!! I guarantee that he will step on your toes somewhere in there, but not in a bad way. You can hit the audio button and listen while reading email or doing facebook, or cooking or whatever. Really, at least listen to the second message, about Jesus and self-pity. Absolutely life changing!!
So the question is, how do I increase my capacity to receive more from the Lord? The answer is as simple as a drop of water, and as infinitely deep and complex as that same drop.
(go ahead and listen!) ~:D

A Perfect Fit
Good evening everyone,
Matthew 11 is still on my heart. I have learned a little about yokes and burdens since last email… The best yoke for an ox or horse will fit him perfectly, so that it works with him and not against him. If it does not fit right, he will have callouses or actually wound himself. A wounded workhorse can’t do his work at full strength, so a wise owner will spare no expense to have a perfect fit.
Our owner, who paid the highest price in the universe for us, custom designed an easy yoke for you, and for me, before the universe was born. It fits like a glove! There is nothing to be afraid of, being in the center of His will for you.
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jump right into the center of God’s will for you, it’s a perfect fit!
I love y’all dearly,

Psalms 12:6
Good afternoon everybody,
Psalm 12 held a treasure for me today.
6 And the words of the LORD are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
The Lord is a man of His word. He has never, nor will He ever, in fact He cannot, tell a lie. He has never exaggerated. He always tells His children the truth.
My mother once gave me some really good advice: don’t put anything in writing unless you want the world to know. Well, our Father put lots in writing because He wants the world to know. He wants us to know, because to know His word is to know Him. Every promise is reliable and sure. And what He promised, He is able to perform, says sarah in Hebrews 11. Plus the Lord said in Jeremiah, He watches over His word to perform it. What a deal we have! Love Himself is our Father and He is reliable and faithful to His word. Thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14)
I love y’all.

Healing Scripture Romans 8:11
Good afternoon everybody,
Romans 8:11 (KJV) “. . . the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead . . . shall also quicken your mortal bodies . . . .”
We have within us, the Spirit of the living God! And this Spirit is the same one that raised Jesus from the dead. And when Jesus returns, the bible says that this Spirit will change our mortal bodies into immortal! Forever young! Do you believe it?? I know you do.
Well if this Spirit can do all that, then it is a simple thing, EASY, for Him to do a little repair work on it to keep us going strong!! Romans 8:11 doesn’t say He can, however. It says He SHALL! Glory to God, He shall quicken our mortal bodies. These bodies, in the mortal here and now. Yahoo! I love y’all dearly! Speak out romans 8:11, for you and me today!

Redemption
Good evening everybody,
We are redeemed! What does that really mean? Redemption is a big word! First,
Jesus became sin so He could make us righteous. That erases all our guilt and condemnation. We get to be near Him forever! And would have been enough, but our Father loves us so much, and Jesus loves us so much, that they didn’t stop there. Redemption means something in the here and now. Jesus conquered sin, death and the devil! He paid the highest price for our health and safety too. Look at Psalm 91. I copied the Message, for variety.
Psalm 91
1-13You who sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,
Say this: "God, you're my refuge.
I trust in you and I'm safe!"
That's right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
under them you're perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
Yes, because God's your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can't get close to you,
harm can't get through the door.
He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
If you stumble, they'll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
14-16 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God,
"I'll get you out of any trouble.
I'll give you the best of care
if you'll only get to know and trust me.
Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I'll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!"
Now, that is redemption! (-:

Faith Working by Love
Good afternoon everybody,
A wise bible study teacher once said they try not to teach on something they are still working on, not to say they are perfect or they have mastered it, but only that they have settled into the Word about it, and they know the Way. So I am not perfect in this love thing (I can see Brian now, FOFLOL). There is a certain scowl, a look that oozes contempt, and looks very similar to my squinting to keep the air from leaking from my breathing mask into my eyes. So am I mad or just windblown? I’d like to say windblown all the time. Again, pick Brian up off the floor – he needs to breathe; no more laughing now!
So you understand I am not a master, but I know the Master. He is perfect! He never rolled His eyes in disrespect. He is recorded as cutting off someone only in one case, and He said ‘get thee behind me, Satan!’ to him. Somehow I think that would be a rare case where we had permission to say that! He had lots of hard words for people. He drove out the animals and greedy people from the temple, but He was not out of control when He did it. He was angry but never sinned.
What is ok, what is not? You would think that by 43 I might have some answers. Well, I have some. Generally speaking, if our feelings are screaming, we should not act on them. Screaming feelings are never the fruit of the Spirit. Peace doesn’t scream. When feelings scream, take charge of them like you would a two year old having a tantrum. Yes they scream but they are not in control. At least not in a healthy family. So we are spiritually healthier as we control and discipline our feelings. That ‘umpire of peace’ that the bible talks about is the voice of the Lord inside. Jesus always listened to Him for everything. Ephesians says be angry but sin not. Many times today I wanted to backhand someone, and I did yell this morning, but after that I did better. Of course my yells sound like squeaks in the mask. Not exactly intimidating, but sin all the same. That whole seventy times seven thing comes to mind. I lost count, but I guess that is how it should be. Right? Love keeps no record of wrong. Jesus didn’t, even though people spit and slapped and ripped out His beard. He didn’t even when they yelled all sorts of insults at Him while He hung naked and exposed, dying on a cross where every breath moved and tore against His hands, feet and raw back. And He still keeps no record of wrong even though we act like I did today.
Here is the point… (finally) my faith, your faith, whosoever’s faith, will not work if our mind is full of strife. And strife happens. So take a deep breath and remember that you have a choice, I have a choice. Even with red faces and screaming feelings, we have a choice. Love listens to the umpire of peace. Now thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph (over our feelings) in Christ.
I love you all! I really do!!

Faith Comes in and Goes Out
Good afternoon everybody,
Today I was reading a devotional on www.rhema.org. You can’t subscribe; you have to visit every day, but it is WORTH it!! Click on study center and devotional.
Today’s was on Mark 11:23, and the Lord showed me, or recalled for me, several things to share with you all at once. I pray that I can bring them out coherently, here goes…
Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. You can’t have faith for something you haven’t heard about. For instance, when you were little, you would ask mom or dad for something. But you could not have faith for it until you heard them say yes. Boy, then you know you’ve got it!
Even if you have to wait a little, you have faith in your parent’s word.
Well, now you have a Father who never lies and never fails. You just need to hear and hear what He said. Faith in God is faith in His word. Anything else is just ‘high expectation off the wrong information’. (I heard that somewhere)
So that is how faith comes, but simply having faith is not enough to get results. James says faith without works is dead. We must release our faith by acting, and our primary action is speaking. Faith goes out by speaking mostly, and of course, doing whatever the Lord tells you. But clearly in Mark 11:23 the Lord tells us to speak. Say to the mountain be removed and be cast into the sea, believe and do not doubt what you say, you will have what you say. Notice that say is mentioned three times as much as believe. Jesus said that, so what we say is important to Him. Really important! He was very careful with his words. ‘so, what can I say, Nancy? ‘ well, if it agrees with the word of God, speak freely. If it is contrary to the word, bite your lip! Anything in between, use the law of love. Simple, right? Ok, maybe it takes practice, but WE CAN DO IT! See how I spoke faith there? It’s easy, isn’t it! I love you all!

Job
Good evening everybody,
I have decided to read through the entire old testament in order. I know I haven’t read all of it, and I don’t want to miss anything. So anyway, I got up to Job and just could not go on for a few weeks. Tonight I decided that I could do it, so I got through fourteen chapters. What a depressing book! I know the end is ok, though. I am reading for the specific purpose of figuring out what the friends said that was wrong. You know, Job has to make sacrifices for their words.
So be blessed and thank the Lord for His mercy! 2 Corinthians 2:14 says thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ. I love you all.

Rain in the Forecast
Good evening everyone,
I was so blessed tonight! My daughter had a choir concert and since it was raining off and on, and my breathing machine is not all weather, I stayed home. An old, not old! Long time friend came over and massaged my feet and legs. What a treat!
Anyway, I was reminded today with the rain, of all the times when it rained but the sun shined through. The Lord said it is going to be like that spiritually. In fact, it has already started. The rain of the Spirit will come along with the light of the knowledge of God. We will learn what is the height, depth, length and width of God’s love, and we will know, more and more, the love of God which passes knowledge, like Ephesians says.
So, come out into the rain! And no sunblock, these rays will not hurt!
I love y’all,

Thomas
Good afternoon everybody,
‘blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed’.
Jesus said this to Thomas when he had to touch His hands and side, after He rose from the dead.
Of course, Jesus was talking to all of us. We all believe and yet have not seen Him. But, can we carry His words further? Can we also believe what he said even though we don’t see it yet? He has never lied to us. Not one time! You know, you can’t have faith for something you already see. Faith is only before you get results. Everything Jesus bought at the cross is paid for and has your name on it. So you are blessed (with eventual results) when you don’t see and yet believe. I love y’all.

Parable of the Wedding Feast
Good afternoon everybody,
In the past, I had some questions about this story. It sounded sort of violent to me. But we know that Jesus is right! What He says is not inaccurate in the slightest. He never exaggerated to make a good story. If He said it was like this, it is like this.
Jesus also told them other parables. He said, 2 “The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son. 3 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!
4 “So he sent other servants to tell them, ‘The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’ 5 But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business. 6 Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.
7 “The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town. 8 And he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor. 9 Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.’ 10 So the servants brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests.
11 “But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding. 12 ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply. 13 Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
What can we learn about our personal walk, today, from this parable? Always wear nice clothes to a wedding?? (-: I think there is more than that. (duh!)
First, it would be wise not to ignore the King when He invites you to a party, and this IS the party event of all time and eternity!
Second, it is even stupider to insult and beat down His servants (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, whether they agree with your doctrine or not).
So you are in the banquet hall now, fellowshipping and waiting for the ceremony to begin. You see a guy in there, not dressed properly. (what is ‘properly’? a robe of righteousness, given to us by the Son, washed in His blood). He is dirty and has filthy clothes on. You see the King coming. What will you do? You have three choices.
1. Bring him to the King. He has some nerve claiming to be a guest with no robe! And, he is stinking up the place, too.
2. Do nothing, because you are not supposed to judge.
3. Help him by standing between him and the King, and telling him where the robe room is. You can’t keep him hidden but you can buy him a little more time.
What will you do? Make people’s faults public, do nothing, or pray for them and show them Jesus if you get the chance? The King really is coming around. You are ready, that’s great, but what about your relatives, friends, coworkers? Are they still out on the street? Are they pretending, going through the religious motions but have not given their lives to the Son of Love? What can you do? Pray and love, pray and love!! And, enjoy the party!!
I love y’all dearly!

Faith to Faith - Choose Life
Good afternoon everybody,
I know you have all heard this before, but it was put in such a perfect way here. Plus it is an excellent reminder to refocus. It’s the ONE thing that is needful, the Word! I love y’all, (see below)
Choose Life
"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
(Romans 8:6)
________________________________________
If you were given the choice between life and death, which would you choose? The answer seems obvious. But, in reality, it's not.
You see, choosing death doesn't necessarily mean jumping from the nearest cliff. It's much more subtle than that.
The Bible says death is being carnally minded, being entangled in this present worldly realm. The Bible also tells us what life is. "My son, attend to my words," says Proverbs 4:20-22, "...for they are life!"
To be worldly-minded is death. To be Word-minded is life.
In Luke 10, there's a story that illustrates this principle extremely well. It's the story of Mary and Martha. You probably remember it. Mary was sitting at Jesus' feet listening to Him teach while Martha was bustling around in the kitchen cooking dinner for everyone.
Finally Martha couldn't stand it anymore. She came to Jesus and said, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do all the work myself? Tell her to help me!" Jesus answered, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41-42).
Mary had set everything else aside, so she could hear the Word. But Martha had let the seemingly important business of living take priority over the Word. She'd chosen death, not life.
You see how easy it is to slip into that?
"But Brother Kenneth," you say, "if I didn't spend all my time taking care of the business of living, my life would fall apart!"
Oh, really? Martha probably thought that too. She probably thought if she didn't cook dinner for all those folks, they'd go hungry. But they wouldn't have. Jesus had miraculously fed multitudes before and He could have done it again in Martha's home. She could have plopped herself down at Jesus' feet, and they could have had a banquet at God's expense!
Don't make the mistake that Martha did. Don't get so entangled in the business of living that you choose death by default. Decide to put the Word first place. Choose life!

Dual nature of light
Good evening everyone,
Following up on yesterday’s email, shadows have neither substance nor power, but light has both particles (substance) and energy (power, sort of). That is, light is made up of electrons. They travel just like any other object, in straight lines. You know, until they are bent by something like glass or water. Or they bounce off something like a mirror. Or until they are cut off by something opaque, creating a shadow. Those are the particle properties of light.
Colors are made by the wave properties of light. Each color has a different wavelength and frequency. Light waves, like water waves, vibrate at right angles to the direction of the wave. Higher frequency waves are higher in energy too.
Remember that physical things are copies of spiritual things. God Himself said He is light, and He created light with its properties for us to discover something about Him.
God is a just God. He ‘follows the rules’, so to speak. He will not pervert justice for anybody. But He wrote the rules, and He wrote in mercy. God is also a merciful God. From before the beginning, Jesus was the just sacrifice for all time. So mercy could, and can , and will, triumph. Thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ! I love y’all.

Spiritual Light
Good evening everyone.
What?! Two emails in one day?? Well, this is a follow up to the previous one, so you will get more from it if you read the other first.
There is a song by Petra from the 80s, The Road to Zion, that has a verse that goes like this…
Sometimes a shadow dark and cold
Lays like a mist across the road
But be encouraged by the sight
Where there’s a shadow there’s a light.
The Lord started putting physics concepts together about light. While shadows have no substance or energy, light has both.
The bible has a lot to say about light. God is light. We are children of the light. Walk in the light. You are the light of the world. In fact, the first thing God created physically was light. So He could see to work, I guess. (-:
Physical light is a copy of spiritual light, and it works in much the same way. So spiritual shadows also work like physical shadows. They are caused by something cutting off the light source. Did you know the scientific term for cutting off the line of sight to a heavenly body is occulting? Interesting… Psalm says thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Satan uses anything he can to cut off the truth, the word, from your heart.
But you have a flashlight inside you! It is as powerful as you make it. It gets brighter as you commune with the Lord in prayer and the word. The power supply is the Holy Spirit within you, but you have to stay plugged in.
If a light is small and dim, there can be large, scary shadows. But bright lights dispel darkness, so the shadows are small and not very scary. The shadows (spiritual) are really there, but our perspective changes and brightens as we plug into the Source of light. Remember the homework assignment from August? God, our Source, is light!
I love y’all.

Valley of the "sahdow"
Good afternoon everybody,
A friend of ours sent this to me and I could so identify! I bet you will too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve always wondered why the 23 Psalm had the passage, “valley of the shadow of death”. I always thought that a shadow wasn’t that scary. It’s just a shadow. Surely death is way more scary than a shadow? Well, one night, years ago, I was locking up in the house and was going to the front hall after checking that the back door was secure. It was getting cool out so there were several coats and a hat on the coat rack in the front hall. You can see where this is going, can’t you? I caught the sight of the shadow of the coat rack out of the corner of my eye and thought I saw a “robber” in my house. I almost wet myself! I couldn’t move, I couldn’t scream, I was just frozen to the spot. After I got a couple of guts to working I turned around to face the intruder and that’s when I saw it was “just” the shadow of the coat rack on the wall. I Immediately thought of the that passage, “valley of the shadow of death”, and decided that if the shadow of a coat rack was that scary, then the shadow of death would be extra-way scary. It was then that I understood what the passage is saying.
Just a random thought…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are so right! I laughed at your story, but it is so true. Shadows can be very scary. And valleys are long and big. But the good news is that we don’t have to be afraid because God, our Good Shepherd, is with us and He is the biggest thing in the valley! Plus as you implied, they are extra-way scary if you think they are real. I heard someone say once, ‘the shadow of a dog never bit anyone’. They can look and even act real but they are still shadows with no substance.
And be encouraged, where there’s a shadow there’s a light. Light has both substance and power.
Boy, I needed that ‘random’ God inspired thought today! Thanks for sending. Look for Jesus in your valley…

Growing
Good afternoon everybody,
How do we grow up spiritually? Much like we do physically and mentally. Physically we eat and move and grow. Mentally we learn and exercise and grow. Spiritually we eat the word, exercise our faith and love, and grow. How does the bible say we grow? Ephesians 4 says
speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ
so we speak. We speak the truth which is what God says, and we say it in love. That is one way the bible says to grow.
Feeding your spirit is more important than mental exercise or physical food. It is written, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God.
Eat and exercise your spirit today, speak the word of God in love and grow up.
I love y’all.

Faith Hall of Fame
Good evening everyone,
Hebrews 11 lists lots of people who operated in faith. We automatically think they were all above reproach, or their flaws were minor. Well, not really. Take Rahab, for instance. She ran a house of ill repute in a penthouse apartment in the wall of Jericho. But she had faith in God to deliver her and her father’s family. There she is, listed by name when Daniel refused wasn’t. Not to compare, but that is sort of my point. God is not a respecter of persons, we are all loved the same, infinitely. Once we accept him, our past failures and mistakes are gone. Hallelujah we are clean!
When Rahab came out of Jericho, she was not called harlot. Her past was buried in the rubble. Your past and mine are even more gone, we are new creatures in Christ. By grace through… Faith. Woo hoo! I love y’all.

Moses etc
Good afternoon everybody,
Numbers 12 tells us a little about Moses. 3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
Think of Moses, ‘let my people go’ and the ten commandments and all that. Humble is not the word I would use to describe him, but the bible is right. If I see it a different way, I am wrong. The bible is right. So, there must be something I do not know about humility. Can humility make you as bold as a lion? Can humility give you enough guts to order the death of about 3thousand calf worshipers? Can humility help you get water from a rock? Here’s a better question… Is God humble?
We can look at Jesus to find out. Hebrews says He was the exact representation of the Father. Jesus said in Matthew 11, 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
So Jesus was humble too. The man who told demons to shut up and get out, who called Pharisees hypocrites and brood of vipers, who said that He was anointed, that man. On the surface, He doesn’t look humble. The Pharisees didn’t think so, either. But He was the perfect example of humility. And He still is. He said He could do nothing without the Father. He said that He only said what He heard the Father say and He only did what He saw the Father doing.
So we can learn about humility from two humble people in the bible. They were not weak. They had the nerve to be and do what God said. Only. Well, Jesus was perfect. Moses did have that one problem when he took credit for getting water out of the rock. But the Lord called him the most humble man on the planet at the time.
I believe that we can learn about true humility from the experts. Daring to be only what the word of God says we are, righteous in Christ, more than conquerors through Him, etc. knowing, and acknowledging, that we live, move and have our being only in Him. His grace gives us every ability, every dollar, every breath. And He is so happy to!
I love y’all

Thanks Grace
Good evening everyone,
Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ!
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Grace is how the Lord blesses us and sustains us. The epistles (I call them ‘ians’) talk about grace all the time. One of the things that Paul links together often is grace and thanks. Go to biblegateway and do a keyword search on ‘grace thanks’ in king James. Many verses connect the two. If you remember all the good stuff God has done for you, like keeping you breathing and your heart beating, you know, little stuff, then you will give thanks to Him. When you thank Him it shows humility because you recognize that you don’t deserve it based on your works. Then God has a chance to extend more grace, and it causes more thanksgiving, then more grace, etc. It is a wonderful cycle! I love you all,

Listening again
Good afternoon everybody,
A friend of ours sent this. I was really blessed and knew you would be, too. Notice when she sent it, too. I was always in the biggest hurry that time of day.
Be blessed, as you listen. Love y’all!
Sent: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 6:16 AM
Good Morning,
Wow! Good Word! I find I only hear God when I stop from my busyness, and that fact has been bugging me a lot lately. I think busyness can become a habit, just like smoking or drinking. We work in a mode of haste all of the time and when we do stop, the time isn’t used productively because we are mentally exhausted. All of this frenzy drowns out the voice of God. My prayer for all of us is that our ears will be keen enough to hear the voice of God, not only when we are waiting quietly in expectation, but when He calls to us through our busyness. If we aren’t listening, we and others miss out on the blessings offered by a great and loving God. Have a great day!

Listening
Good afternoon everybody,
Where do you hear the voice of the Lord best?
In your car? In the shower? On the lake or golf course? Wherever it is, why? Why is it that you hear Him there? I would venture to say it is because you expect to hear Him. You are open, listening.
Do we set aside special days when we listen more, or expect to hear more? Like New Year’s Day maybe, or your birthday? Typically, we spend time examining ourselves too. Where have we been, where are we going?
The Jewish new year, Rosh Hashanah, is the day that God designated to begin a ten day self examination before Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. I imagine that many Jews, orthodox and Messianic, hear the voice of God clearly during those days.
What do we do when we hear the voice of God inside? Psalm 95 says
7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
So when you hear the Lord, enjoy Him thoroughly. And then, live out what you heard in your heart. He will help you, you can do it!
I love you all,

Growing
Hello everyone,
I apologize for not sending out words as often. Sometimes I am not hearing the Lord like I should, so if you notice that you are not getting emails, please pray for me. Sometimes family is in town and I am busy with them, but other days I simply have nothing to say. I am not one to ramble anymore. Used to… (-:
We grow up gradually. So gradually that most of us do not notice our children growing each day, but grandparents who don’t see them every day say ‘my, you have grown!’ Doctors always weigh them to make sure they are growing, or else they would be failing to thrive. When they are teenagers, sometimes they grow in spurts. Seems like my son shot from five feet to over six feet overnight. And he is only fourteen!
In the same way, we grow up spiritually. We eat spiritual food, hopefully not junk, and exercise spiritually. We can grow in spurts, and that is good, but the every day growth is much more important. We cannot have a spurt once or twice a year and starve in between, and expect to grow. As my junior high band director used to say, “ten minutes of practice each day beats a hundred once a week”. in the same way, it does more good to the body to eat every day than once a week, and daily fellowship with the Lord is essential for lasting spiritual growth.
Of course, the Father loves His time with us on Sunday, that is part of the reason he created the Sabbath. But it does not replace daily time. First thing in the morning can set your heart and prepare you for the day. Just before you go to bed will get your spirit ready to be instructed in the night. Spirits don’t sleep, we can fellowship with the Lord all night if we invite Him.
So bottom line, Jesus loves spending time with us whenever we choose but we will be better off, healthier spiritually, if we spend time daily with Him.
I love you all,

Not a fairly tale
Good evening everyone ,
God is good and His love endures forever!
This age is almost over. Soon (see 1 Corinthians, 2 Thessalonians, Revelation) the trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ will come back to life and go flying to meet Jesus in the air, then we who are alive will join them in the air! This is not a fairy tale, it is your future! (-:
Just imagine… Flying without an airplane will be the small thrill, JESUS will be with us! Or, we will be with Him. Wow! They lived happily ever after. No end.

Greater is He
Good afternoon everybody,
Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ!
You know, I have always had a desire to walk in the miraculous power of the Spirit, to see signs and wonders in daily life. And I still want that, but I realized recently, again, that walking in the Spirit is much more than outward signs and wonders. It is , like Romans says, not fulfilling the lust of the flesh. The lust of the flesh can be something you want, but it can also be something you want to do, like spit in someone’s face.
Seriously, no matter how right one is, no matter how mistreated, no matter how justified our flesh is, God has another way. It doesn’t feel good on the outside, and our emotions scream for justice, or at least to be heard. And what they want to say isn’t very pretty. Our Father speaks quietly and patiently, can we hear? Boy, I can’t sometimes. So my loud flesh wins. Then the devil takes his shots and condemns, so now I am guilty and condemned, two things that take me farther from the Lord. To quote Romans again, 4 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord.
My only hope, our only hope, is in Jesus. But He is MORE than enough! Oh thank God for Jesus! He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We don’t deserve it but He extends us mercy. Why? Because, He loves us!
Father, please forgive me for not listening to you. Forgive my hardness of heart and ugliness, forgive me for not considering others as you do. Forgive me for being driven by my sinful flesh. Thank you for your mercy!!!
I love you all,

Nancy Bass

Self Pity
Good afternoon everybody,
Jesus, our Master, the spotless, the strongest spirit that ever existed, said something that was extremely profound. Matthew 16…
21From that time began Jesus to shew to his disciples that it is necessary for him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and to be put to death, and the third day to rise.
22And having taken him aside, Peter began to rebuke him, saying, `Be kind to thyself, sir; this shall not be to thee;' (*greek literal, ‘pity yourself’)
23and he having turned, said to Peter, `Get thee behind me, adversary! thou art a stumbling-block to me, for thou dost not mind the things of God, but the things of men.'
Other translations of 23 say ‘you are a danger to me’. ‘tempting me to sin’. Etc.
What was the danger? What was the temptation? ‘pity yourself’, be kind to thyself. If Jesus could not allow this type of thinking even for a moment, can we? He whirled around and cut Peter off, and said, probably pretty loudly, get behind me Satan! The strongest spirit in history could not tolerate another second of this.
Jesus was already casting down his own thoughts and feelings. He was trying to prepare his disciples so they would know the end and not pity themselves. Peter was allowing the devil speak through him. Jesus was the only person who actually did not deserve any foul treatment, but it He was going to get the worst on all levels, all at the same time.
We are all tempted to feel sorry for ourselves, but according to Jesus, it is sin. A serious sin. One he had to cut off quickly and finally. And if He had to, so do we. How? Say it, get behind me satan, God has been good to me! Then recount about six or eight things He has done for you. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Self pity does no good, it is evil. When you play with self pity you are listening to unbelief, selfishness and unthankfulness. You know I am talking to me, too.
So praise the Lord. For He is good, His love endures forever! Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all His benefits. He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, He redeems our lives from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness, and tender mercies. He fills our life with good things so our youth is renewed like the eagles. (Psalm 103) He died so we could live forever, he was bruised for our healing,, He took our chastisement so we could have His peace, and we do! Thanks be to God!! I love you all.

Wait on the Lord
Good afternoon everybody,
Alelu jah! (praise the Lord) ke tov, (He is good), ke lay olam has do (His love endures forever).
I’m sure I spelled it wrong, but this is a Hebrew phrase that the Israelites used often. And if you look it up, it almost always precedes a powerful manifestation of the Lord. Jehoshaphat in battle, the dedication of the Temple are two examples. Wow! Enemies destroy each other without you lifting a sword, the thick and heavy cloud of God’s glory filling the place so full, no one can stand!
What brought God on the scene so powerfully? His beloved dwelling on His faithful, enduring love. See, they didn’t just say it once… They kept saying it. The priests would say ‘alelu jah’ and the crowd would repeat at the top of their voice, then the priests would say the next phrase and the crowd would yell, and so on. Imagine three to four million people, at the top of their lungs, cheering for the Lord. Reports said that the ground shook for miles! Beats the super bowl hands down!
They didn’t just say it five or six times, either. This kind of focusing is what they call waiting on the Lord. Your head may get tired after a few times, but your spirit hasn’t engaged yet. Try setting aside thirty minutes or more, not thinking or saying much but ‘your love endures forever’, just to stay focused. See what the Lord will say or do. He waits until your spirit is quiet to really speak. Well, actually, He is always ready to speak, but we have to get our spirit quiet so we can hear. With our hectic lives, it is very difficult, and it is completely impossible with strife in our hearts. So forgive them even if they don’t deserve it! When you let them go free, you go free.
Anyway as the psalmist says, ‘wait, I say wait, on the Lord.’
I have tried to wait on the Lord, and it is a challenge. But I believe it is worth it. Does anyone have something they would like to share, a personal experience, about waiting on the Lord? I would love to share with others for encouragement.
I love you all,
Praise the Lord!

I Don't Know
Good evening everyone,
Thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Prideful and selfish. God resists them. Humble and thankful, they go together. A broken spirit and contrite heart. Help! Hebrews says harden not your heart. The hardness of our hearts is reflected in our attitudes toward others. How quick do we get angry with others, even if they are ‘total idiots’? oh, Lord. Help us. We are all fools compared to your infinite understanding. Help us to shatter our prideful and selfish hearts. No matter what other selfish prideful people do, or don’t do, to us. Help us be patient with them like you are with us. Ephesians 4:32 be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has forgiven you.
Tenderhearted. Broken. Shattered is what that word means. Father, we can not do this ourselves. We need your help! We receive by faith a broken spirit. We will not resist you with pride because we can’t bear the thought of you resisting us. We repent and ask for your forgiveness. We thank you for forgiving us. Your mercy endures forever!

Amazing Grace
Good afternoon everybody,
Thanks be to God!
You know, it is impossible to extend grace to someone who feels like they deserve it. For instance, your child asks for $10 so she can go eat with friends after church. At this point you can give her the money by simply being gracious, but if she says that you owe her because she helps you so much, you can’t be gracious anymore. If you give her the money, it is payment and not grace. Which makes very little difference in this case, but here is the point…
Our Father gives us every good thing we have and ever will have, by grace. Without His grace, we would (we have all sinned) get what we deserve. So when we come boldly before the Throne of Grace, we remember that it is only because of the precious blood of Jesus that we can come at all. We could do everything listed in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3*, but it is still by grace that we are saved, healed, delivered, protected, and blessed. Yes we come boldly and confidently, knowing that we are loved. We are made clean, righteous and spotless by Jesus’ gift of grace – His very life blood! We come full of thanks in our hearts, never calling attention to our measly little acts of righteousness but instead understanding that He gave us the grace, or ability, to do them in the first place!
Oh, yes, they are good. We will be rewarded for each. But we have access to the Father by grace only.
So back to my example, if we feel like we deserve something from the Lord, we have cut off the grace of God. I have heard people ask, ‘I don’t understand why X didn’t get healed. She was there every time the doors at church were open, she volunteered, visited and made meals for the sick, and prayed all the time.’ Well, what does x’s, or anybody’s, good acts have to do with them being healed? Nothing. God owes us nothing, whether we are Sister Theresa or some drug addict on the street.
God has done everything He is ever going to do about our healing, by grace. This is GOOD news, friends! What He did was more than enough for all of us for all time! By grace.
No wonder Paul so often declared grace and peace over his spiritual fledglings. They needed it! And so do we. Thanks be to God for this indescribable gift!!
I love you all!
*speak in tongues of men and angels, have all understanding and knowledge, have faith to move mountains, give all to the poor, give up body to be burned.

Good Advice from Mary
Good evening everyone.
You know, as a young girl, Mary was really wise beyond her years. How many of us would risk our engagement (a woman’s only future), and our family reputation, just like that? But she said, ‘be it unto me according to thy word.’
Later at the wedding at Cana, she said to the servants, ‘whatever He says to you, do it. ‘ something tells me she taught her first boy to do that as well. No wonder God picked her.
Let’s learn from her like Jesus did. After all, He said, ‘I only say what I hear my Father say, I only do what I see my Father do.’
Whatever He says to us, and there is plenty in the bible, let’s do it. Amen!

Praise and Thanks
Good evening everyone,
I have family in town and it is michael’s first homecoming dance, so I will be brief.
Psalm 148
1 Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens!
Praise him from the skies!
2 Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all the armies of heaven!
3 Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you twinkling stars!
4 Praise him, skies above!
Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!
5 Let every created thing give praise to the Lord,
for he issued his command, and they came into being.
6 He set them in place forever and ever.
His decree will never be revoked.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
you creatures of the ocean depths,
8 fire and hail, snow and clouds,[a]
wind and weather that obey him,
9 mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all livestock,
small scurrying animals and birds,
11 kings of the earth and all people,
rulers and judges of the earth,
12 young men and young women,
old men and children.
13 Let them all praise the name of the Lord.
For his name is very great;
his glory towers over the earth and heaven!
14 He has made his people strong,
honoring his faithful ones—
the people of Israel who are close to him.
Praise the Lord!

Thanks and Faith
Good evening everyone,
1 corinthians 15:57 says thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Notice that the word gives is present and continual. He keeps on giving us the victory!
Thanking God for what He has given us and done for us is the first step. As we remember what He has done, it encourages us that He can do it again . And He will! There is nothing too big or too small for the Lord. He will heal terminal cancer and help you find your lost keys!
Now that you have reminded yourself of all the miracles He has done, you are better prepared to make your request according to Mark 11:24.
24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
So after you ask and believe it is yours now, what is the most natural thing to do? Thank Him! In fact, thanks is the quickest and easiest way to stay in faith until you see it. Thank you Jesus for saving and healing Michael when he was born. He almost died and the reports said blind, deaf or mentally disabled. But at 14 he is a freshman with a’s and b’s, active in sports and music, and is only slightly nearsighted. Praise God forevermore! The doctors only know so much. They are valuable, but they should never have the last word.
So what do you do till you see your answer? Recount the wonderful things that the Lord has done, that you see, then thank Him for the things that He has done that you don’t see yet. Because you do have it. Look at 1 John 5:15 in the amplified version,
15And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.
Now isn’t that cool? Present possessions means we have it now!
Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, THANK YOU LORD!
I love you all,

True Humility
Good afternoon everybody,
Thanks be to God who ALWAYS causes us to triumph in Christ! 2 Cor. 2:14
Notice that the Lord links thanksgiving and victory. This is not the only place, there are lots of scriptures that put the two together. No coincidence.
Why does God put things down in writing? Does it become true when He writes it, or is He telling us because it was true already? Maybe some of both, but in this case I believe that He is relating an eternal principle that was in place before time began.
I have been learning about this for weeks and have so much to learn. And then doing it is another issue, and doing the word is the only way to get results from it. Amen?
It takes humility to thank God. If we are proud in any area, we will be floating along without being thankful in that area. Humility is not what religion says it is… Humility is not saying we are unworthy wretches doomed to a life of trying to be good enough to draw near to God. It is saying that what God says is true no matter what anything else, the world, our flesh, the devil, doctors of theology with theories, or other’s experiences, says to us. The bible says a lot about who we are in Christ. Humble people would not dare say anything against that word. They bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (Christ is the Word made flesh). True humility will not ‘bombard the gates of heaven’ in prayer, it will go boldly before the throne of grace, because that is what the word says to do. These are a few examples of many, but basically we need to ask ourselves, where is the scripture, for everything we believe.
Humility is evidenced by thanksgiving, and God gives grace to the humble.
I love y’all.

thanks
Good evening everybody,
O magnify the Lord with me! 1 Corinthians 15:57 says ‘thanks be to God who gives me the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ’.
When should we give thanks? At all times, psalms says. Where should we give thanks? In everything, Paul writes.
That just about covers it, doesn’t it?
Thank you, Jesus, for redemption through the blood. Thank you for writing our names in the book. Thanks so much!
I love y’all.

Light
The spectrum of light waves is wide ranging, from radio waves to cosmic waves. We are able to see a tiny sliver of that range, called visible light. But all the while, radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, gamma and cosmic waves are traveling in all directions around us. Some right through us.
There is a theory out there that spiritual beings can’t be seen because they are existing (somehow) beyond the speed of light. They appear by slowing down. I don’t have a clue if it accurate or not, but fact is we can not see them most of the time. And yet, they are very real.
We see so little of what is really going on. The real action is outside our human vision, though occasionally God will allow a glimpse. That is why the bible says that the unseen things are eternal. They are real. Just because we can’t see them doesn’t make them less real. Just because you don’t see a car in your blind spot doesn’t mean it is not there.
Our money in the bank is real, but we can’t see it. God is real, His angels are real, his Spirit is real. They are not like elves, fairies, or ghosts. They are REAL, and they have substance. Angels have bodies as solid as ours, but they exist in the real world. We are here in this virtual world for a very short time. Very short! If we lived 125 years, it would only be three hours on God’s clock. This is by far the shortest thing we will ever do, but how we live here directly affects our future in eternity, for real. Thank God for His grace!
I love you all.

The Gospel
Good evening everyone,
John, at the very end of his account of the good news, writes a profound statement.
25 Jesus also did many other things. If they were all written down, I suppose the whole world could not contain the books that would be written.
Think about everything that could be written down, but wasn’t. thousands of healings, miracles, signs and wonders. Maybe other dead raised, who knows? But they didn’t make the book. Hmm… That means the stories and teachings that were written down were carefully picked by the Holy Spirit. Why? Because they are the ones that directly apply to us. They are the truths that we can base our lives on, they are the events that we can expect to see here and now. They are a record of the perfect unchanging will of God for all men for all time. We can believe them, as if they were our stories. They ARE our stories! We can bank on them. when Jesus answered a question, He answered it for you and me. When He healed the blind man, He showed that He wants all blind eyes to see. Etc. get this, (this really hit home with me) no one who came to Jesus to be healed left sick. There were no unlucky ones. Praise God! His unchanging will for all men, for all time, is healing. His will for you and me, today, is healing!
I love you all.

Why 'Son of Man'?
Good evening everyone,
Why did Jesus call himself son of man? It was important or else He would not have been so consistent with it.
The Lord gave man dominion over the earth in Genesis 1. He never took it back. Because the only beings with authority in the earth were men, Jesus had to be born a man, not God. He had to operate in the earth like we do or else satan would have a legal argument against Him. Since Adam, a man, handed the authority to the devil, a man had to get it back.
When the demons were screaming out that He was the Holy one of God, they were not trying to glorify Him, they were accusing Him of being on the earth without legal right. Of course, He did not need to argue. He told them to shut up and come out. He had to be like us in every way. Only a human could speak with authority on the earth. Only a human anointed with the Holy Spirit would have the power to carry out the authority that man has. Only a fully tempted, fully sinless, human could pay the price for our sins. He had to be the Son of Adam (greek). So He was son of man. He became man.
Now the bible says as He is, so are we in this world. We are now fully human with the authority of the son of man. We are anointed with the same power. We are as sinless and righteous as He is, because of His blood. We have everything He had, because He bought it for us. Now He wants us to be sons of man, carrying out His perfect will on the earth through the power of the Holy Spirit. How cool is that? Bringing in lost sons of men. So, let’s get out there and bring them in!!
I love you all.

pruning
Good evening everybody,
Jesus was teaching his disciples on the way to the garden the night He was betrayed…
John 15
1I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
2Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.
3You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].
I read a small book many years ago about the Vine and the branches. While it was based on the first two of these verses, and was beautifully written, it said that Jesus prunes us by circumstances in our lives, allowing bad things so we will love Him more, or so we will develop in some character of God.
If we read verse 3, we see that it is not circumstances, but the Word, that cleanses and prunes us. Sure we have circumstances, because we live in a world full of sin and curse. John 10:10 clearly says who brings bad stuff and who ‘came… ‘ well, here. See for yourself. Jesus Himself said,
10The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [b]overflows).
And in James 1 scripture says,
16Do not be misled, my beloved brethren.
17Every good gift and every perfect ([d]free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light
So we see that Jesus and the Father give us every thing that is good, and the thief, that pinhead devil, comes to steal, kill and destroy. Friends, that is not pruning, it’s the start of a FIGHT!!!
And bless God, the same Word that cleanses and prunes us also equips us for battle. And praise Jesus, WE WIN!! 2 Corinthians 2:14 –always triumph in Christ!! ALWAYS, HALLELUJAH!!

Words of Life
Good afternoon everybody,
In John 6, Jesus is teaching on eating His flesh and drinking His blood, and His followers got more disturbed the further He went with it. But He did not back down; in fact, He just got more graphic. It resulted in this…
After this, many of His disciples drew back (returned to their old associations) and no longer accompanied Him. 67Jesus said to the Twelve, Will you also go away? [And do you too desire to leave Me?] 68Simon Peter answered, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words (the message) of eternal life.
To any of us who have tasted the goodness of God, there is really no going back to the old life, is there? I mean, where would we go? Nothing else will satisfy our hearts but the blood and the body of Christ. The blood cleanses and protects, redeems and gives us access to the Father. The body heals us and brings us together in an unexplainable unity, far beyond mere family. It’s all Jesus, the Living Word. How do we wrap our minds around such things? Those followers could not, so they left. Thank God we have the Holy Spirit! We don’t have to fully understand, just believe. We believe with our hearts, not our minds, according to Romans 10. And the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts, so we have a huge advantage over the original followers. We can see spiritual things much more clearly since we are born of the Spirit. Jesus has the words of eternal life; let’s get our ‘real food and drink’ from him today. His words are spirit and life. After all, where else would we go?

daily bread
Good evening everyone,
32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven. 33 The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “give us that bread every day.”
35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. “
Think about manna for a moment. When God provided manna He gave them specific instructions for gathering. They could only gather about two quarts per person daily except Friday. Friday was about a gallon each, for two days. They had to gather in the morning before it melted away. It would get worms if they saved it up. Except Saturday.
Our daily bread , the word of God, works best the same way. Gathered, read, in the morning and meditated on, eaten, all day long.
Bon appétit!

Your Periscope
Good evening everyone.
O magnify the Lord with me. Make your loving God Daddy the only thing in your periscope. What else is worth looking at anyway? I am talking to myself. Right at this moment, I am trying to type. But my head is not lined up right so I have to blink five or six times sometimes to get the letter, and now I have a choice. Do I let frustration steal my inner peace or my focus on the Lord? Sometimes it is not the big things that get us off, because they are obvious battles. It is the Lego you step on in the dark, the cheeseburger that comes with mustard when you specifically ordered mayonnaise, the train when you are already late. The little darts the devil throws at us are like mosquitos buzzing around our ears. Not very powerful. In fact, really nothing, but they could drive us crazy if we let them. how do we beat him in the little things? ‘thank you Jesus for _____. ‘ fill in the blank with something different every time. That is sure to swat him dead!
I have an illustration. About eleven years ago, we moved to Kansas. We were there less than a year, but we hated it. It got to the point where I would look in the mirror (almost daily!) and say ‘I hate my life’. Now, why would I do that??? I was healthy and strong, I had a loving husband, two pretty healthy kids, a big house, and did I mention I was healthy and strong? Why was I so down? Truth is, I was depressed before we moved and I thought the new place would fix it. It wasn’t Kansas, it was my periscope, my focus. I was unthankful, never looking at what was good. Everyone can find something to thank God for, no matter how dire their circumstances. And everyone, even the richest, healthiest person with the most loving and devoted family, can find something to complain about. The choice is ours.
How did I come out of it? Even after we moved back I was in a pit of self pity. The devil had me where he wanted me. By the grace of God, a friend kept badgering me to go to bible study. (don’t give up on your friends!) I finally went and was completely overwhelmed by love and truth! So much joy was in that room, I could only dream of being that happy. I watched them with their kids to see if it was real. It was. Change didn’t just fall on me, but the Lord drew near to me as I drew near to Him. Thanks be to God! I can honestly say that today I am far better off than eleven years ago. I still have two healthy kids and a loving, devoted husband. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, and we will see it in the land of the living. And inside, I am in the peace, the rest of God. It’s a wonderful life! O magnify the Lord with me! See the truth in your periscope, and thank the Lord!

Fear of the fight
Good afternoon everybody,
Look at the children of Israel as they approached the promised land the first time. They had been in the wilderness for about a year. They were supernaturally delivered, healed (see psalm 105,, there was not a feeble one among their tribes), and completely provided for. A warm pillar of fire at night,, a shady cloud to keep them cool during the day, water from rocks, manna, silver, gold, etc. Every need met! Even their clothes didn’t wear out.
But when the ten spies told them how small they were, they cried all night. Did they have to cry? No. Get what they said. Numbers 14 1 Then the whole community began weeping aloud, and they cried all night. 2 Their voices rose in a great chorus of protest against Moses and Aaron. “If only we had died in Egypt, or even here in the wilderness!” they complained.
Wishing you were dead, now that is sad. What would make them say that??? Here’s the thing… In Egypt, they were slaves but it was a known evil. Slavery, but no battle. Misery, but they knew the misery. After all, they had garlic, leeks and onions, they said. In the wilderness, they didn’t have to work except a short gathering period in the morning. They were completely dependant on the Lord for every detail of their lives. It was a pretty nice life, compared to slavery where they worked to the bone. But in that year, even though they would have unquestionably died without active, moment by moment divine intervention, they never learned to trust in God. Why? Well, one reason is they were unthankful. Romans 1 says your understanding gets darkened when you are unthankful. In other words, you get stupid. They were so used to complaining, they did it without thinking. So they were still in bondage, even though they were physically free. Slaves don’t make good warriors.
Wanting to die rather than fight, all because they complained themselves stupid. Mental bondage.
Have we been afraid to fight the devil? Why? Does complaining come out of our mouths by habit? Think about complaining for a second. Does it show that you are believing things will get better? Does it remind you of the things God has done for you? Does it speak life or build your confidence or faith in God? No, so it doesn’t please Him.
We are all guilty of complaining, but let’s replace those thoughts and words with the truth. If it were not for the Lord and His grace, we would have died in any of a thousand ways. Every day!! Truly, the proper thing to say when the conversation lulls is thank the Lord. Thanks be to God!
The children magnified the problem by complaining instead of magnifying the Lord by thanks, so they were too afraid to fight. You see, God doesn’t want our praise for His sake , it’s for our sake. So we will not forget how big and how GOOD He is. So we will not be afraid of the fight, knowing that our big, good Daddy loves us and is with us every moment. And He is for us so who can be against us? What do we have to worry about? Absolutely nothing!
You know what? That may be the heart of the fight right there. Who, or what, do we make bigger (magnify) in our lives? That’s who, or what, wins.
O magnify the Lord with me!! I love you all.

Change
Good afternoon everybody,
I remember where I was September 11, 2001. Keeping babies at our Mom’s day out program at church. I’ll bet we all remember.
I remember seeing so much fear, on tv and faces. At that time Satan was trying to disable the western world through fear. But God was working on hearts. And it didn’t take long for the supernatural peace of God to rule, at least in the body of Christ. Praise God!
I remember the next day, Kim and I went to a friend’s house planning a t-shirt for the Hettie weekend. This precious sister had considered keeping her kids home from school, and as we talked scriptures, she asked us how we stayed calm and joyful. We had decided to put ‘Christ in me, the hope of glory’ from Colossians 1 on our shirts... So we were able to start there and testify how the Holy Spirit had completely changed us on the inside. From darkness to light. I can’t speak for Kim, but for me, the change was from total despair to hope, from torment to peace. And I had been a ‘good’ Christian for many years! However, her response was fairly typical, she was not ready to change ‘that much’. She probably could not envision the depth of goodness, how much better life is when God is in control of the details of your life. You know, it didn’t happen overnight, maybe I made it seem too quick and scary. The Lord doesn’t do anything to us, with us or through us without our permission. It’s not scary. Just little changes.
When a baby dirties his diaper , he doesn’t expect you to change him into a four year old, he expects you to change him into a clean diaper. But little by little, as he eats what you feed him and as he relates to you, he does change into a four year old.
That is how the Holy Spirit works. He cleans us, feeds us and relates to us as much as we will let him. Our speed of growth depends on us, our seeking the Lord. If we only want a new diaper, so to speak, then that is what He will do. But all the while encouraging us to eat (read the word) and relate (fellowship with Him) so we can grow.
In hindsight, change seems to happen overnight. Think about your babies. But in reality the changes were gradual, but steady. With spurts. And all natural things are patterned after spiritual things, so we can grow in spurts, quickly , or slowly, or we can choose to not grow at all. Bottom line; it’s up to us. Remember, a kid is not scared of growing up, and we won’t be either.
I, for one, need to do more relating. I hear and read the word, but I feel like I should fellowship with Him more. I want to grow!

Confirming the WORD with signs
Good evening everyone,
This is a passage from Acts 14, about Paul and Barnabus.
7And there they preached the gospel.
8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
In Acts 14, a man lame from birth sat and listened to the word of God from the mouth of Paul. He got faith to be healed from that word. Paul saw that he had faith to be healed. God confirmed that word with this sign; this man jumped up! He didn’t know how to walk, but he walked! Praise God!
What gospel do we preach? Is it a gospel that gives people faith to be healed? If it is not, then it is not the gospel Paul preached. The message Paul preached was a message that Jesus will save you, heal you, deliver you and meet your needs.
The Lord confirmed the word with signs following. But if OUR word is not THE Word, no signs can follow. If our word says God can, but he may or may not, then all we have built up is wishful thinking. Not confident expectation. The man at Lystra got confident expectation (faith) to be healed because Paul preached what he wrote, that God would freely give us all things along with giving us Jesus.
Wow! Now that’s GOOD NEWS! Let’s preach the good news Paul preached. I love you all!

With HIS Stripes
Good afternoon everybody,
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5, KJV
5And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace [is] on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us. Isaiah 53:5, YLT
… With His stripes, we are healed. We are healed by His, with His stripes. His bruises, in the original Hebrew.
I have always believed the bible is true. I used to know much less of what it actually said. As I studied the depths of science in the bible, (not mastered by a long shot! Just studied) I began to see that the bible in its original language was very true, literally. When Solomon said that the wind travels the globe in circles, there were no weather satellites. But it was literally true. And every word in the bible is true today, just like when it was written in Hebrew or Greek. People didn’t necessarily understand it, but it was still true. Now I believe even beyond that. I believe the bible is Jesus Himself, in the flesh. John 1 tells me that, and it is literally true. And I believe the Word (He) is alive and powerful. Hebrews 4:12 tells me that. Do I understand it? Not by a long shot! But I believe it. It is the Truth, not a truth. Not one of the true philosophies. Not ‘ok for me’. THE ONE AND ONLY TRUTH!!! For all people, for all time and eternity.
I said all of that to look at Isaiah 53:5 in King James and Young’s Literal translation, the closest thing to Hebrew that I can read.
With His stripes we are healed. We are healed by Jesus’ crushed, bruised, welted flesh. How?? I don’t understand, but I believe it. It is literally true.
Jesus said to eat His flesh. His broken, bruised,, crushed flesh for our healing. Remember the bible is literally Jesus in the flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22 calls the word medicine, from the Hebrew. How does it work? Job says the ear tastes words like the mouth tastes food. So you get it in your eyes and ears until it gets in your spirit. Then it works from the inside out. How? Beats me, but I believe it. Somehow His bruises really heal us, literally. We don’t have to understand. It’s true whether we understand or not.
Jesus suffered a horrible beating specifically to heal us. Wow! He is my hero! Literally.
I love you all.
Healed by His stripes,

House of Prayer
Good afternoon everybody,
Matthew tells a story in chapter 21, of the Lord in a role of authority and dominion. Of course, another account says he made a whip! Which proves that it was not an emotional outburst, but Spirit led. Watch this.
12And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
Now, here’s Jesus, whipping and throwing tables, and the blind and lame come up. He says ‘not now, I’m busy. Can’t you see it’s not God’s time? He is doing a purging’. No! He healed them.
Friends, Jesus was actually prophecying when He healed them. He had just said that the temple was not a den of thieves, but a house of prayer. He was saying that the Lord was going to be living in people, not buildings. He was saying it is NOT His will for our bodies to be a ‘den of thieves’, with sin, fear, sickness, etc. It IS His will that our bodies be clean, whole and strong. Houses of prayer, temples of the Holy Spirit. Our bodies, not spirits. 1 Corinthians 6.
We are houses of prayer, it is written!

What can we do?
Good evening everybody,
John 6 says something relieving… The crowd was asking Jesus.
28 They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?”
29 Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
Wow! Kind of takes the pressure off, doesn’t it? God loves us. Regardless of what we do, regardless of what we don’t do, He loves us.
You can’t do anything to make God love you any more than He already does. Think of it this way, what is infinity plus one? Infinity. God, our Father, loves us infinitely, without boundaries, limits or measures.
The height of His love is higher than the farthest star is away from the earth!
The depth of His love is deeper than the bottomless pit. The width is wider than the east is from the west. The length of the Father’s love is longer than the combined length of every measurable thing that exists! Selah (think about it for a minute)
Your heavenly Father loves you! He loves me! I know in my spirit that as we allow our hearts to dwell on, and in, his infinite love we will find it easier to believe and receive all the blessings He delights to give.
I love you all,

The Word
Good evening everyone,
The first few verses of John are some of my favorites.
1 In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a]
and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Look at verses 3and 4. The Word created every single thing that was created. He (the Word) gave life to every thing.. If He created everything and gave life to everything, it would be a simple thing to do a repair job on a body. Yes, Jesus is the Word made flesh, but the Word is alive and active. And it is medicine to all your flesh (proverbs 4). Isaiah said God’s word never returns void. How does it return to Him? We speak it out. It’s so simple! Isn’t that great?! I love you all.

Letting Things Slip
Good evening everyone,
I heard that a minister once was seeking the Lord about some things that were slow in coming. He was used to quicker results, and felt like maybe he was missing something, so he asked the Lord. The Lord showed him three things that he needed to work on. The Lord said this…
1. You are not praying in the Spirit (speaking in other tongues) enough.
2. You are not ‘calling things that be not as though they were’ enough.
3. You are not letting the peace of God rule in your heart.
I figure if a full time minister needs to look at these things, I could too.
It is not the hearer of the word that gets results, it is the doer of the word.
We can’t heal ourselves, we cannot deliver ourselves, but we have to agree with the word for it to work. The bible says in Amos how can two walk together unless they are agreed. So to walk with the Lord daily, we agree with His word. His word that we are already healed, already delivered, already cleansed and free. Say it with me, I am healed, I am delivered, I am cleansed and free. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Thanks be to God which always causes us to triumph in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14) now let the peace of God rule in your heart.
I love y’all.

Jesus Loves Us
Good afternoon everybody,
Just how much does Jesus love you? Let me count the ways.
He left His seat and position at the right hand of God the Father.
He emptied Himself of all His glory and power, becoming fully human.
Philippians 2 6Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [[b]possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not [c]think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped [d]or retained,
7But stripped Himself [of all privileges and [e]rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.
He became a completely dependant baby, submitting to the authority of two young sinners, Mary and Joseph.
He grew up tempted but not sinning. Completely correctible.
He often did without sleep and food out of compassion for the people.
He was pressured to the point of sweating blood, tempted to think of Himself. Yet He only thought of us. Only love for us!
He went to the cross to cleanse our sins. (becoming sin itself)
He went to the whipping post for our punishment, the curse of the law.
He went to hell so we would not have to.
He was raised from the dead, raising us with Him. (Ephesians 2 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
He gave us authority over demons and disease. (Matthew 16)
He put His spirit within us. 2 Corinthians 1:22
And He gave us gifts! 1 corinthians 12
Wow! What a wonderful savior! Jesus loves us! He really loves us!!
I love you all.

God Made You Clean
Good evening everybody.
Acts is full of great stories. This one from chapter 10 tells you about a vision Peter had while waiting for lunch once.
11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
The Lord was speaking of Gentiles originally, but He quickened that last line to me in a broader sense.
Brothers and sisters, WE have been made clean by the precious blood of Jesus! He has erased all our sin forever, nailing it to the cross. Corinthians says we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ.
So, you are NOT just ‘an old sinner saved by grace’. You are saved by grace and you are righteous! What God has called clean is clean!! Thanks be to God for making and calling us clean!
I love y’all clean guys. J

Circumcision
Bless you all in Jesus’ name.
After the new generation of the children of Israel crossed the Jordan, one of the first things they had to do was circumcise their males. It is a private, vulnerable place. I know it is gross, but it is in the bible, Joshua 5. The stuff they cut off was ugly, and they even named the place! Then they had a huge victory at Jericho.
We are circumcised in the heart. That is a private and vulnerable place, too. The sin that was cut off was also ugly and gross. We now have a covenant with the living God! Our victory is now and eternal.
I have seen, though, that I need to circumcise my mind. The old way of thinking is just as ugly and gross as the physical junk. For instance, thinking that we have to defend ourselves is the old way of thinking. The Lord Jesus is our defender, redeemer and deliverer. Anything we do outside of the love of God is counterproductive and will definitely backfire eventually. But it is so hard! There are times when, for me, what began as a simple request, or even a thank you, ends up with me defending myself because I was misunderstood. Which is usually strife. Strife is ugly and gross. We need to be committed to getting rid of strife, whatever it takes. With that in mind, please pray for me. The breathing mask makes it hard to communicate, and I can’t wear my glasses so I squint sometimes. It looks like I am frowning. For now my job is growing my faith, and faith works by love. Not strife. My flesh wants to defend me and fully explain myself, but with my caregivers it sometimes makes it worse. That is a way of thinking (defending myself) that needs to be circumcised. Jesus does a fine job of defending me, if I let Him. Victory against strife can be mine. Even if I am misunderstood. Wisdom says I need to clarify some, so please pray that I will know when to speak. Amen?
What ways of thinking do you have that need to be circumcised? I know it is not pleasant, it can be painful and vulnerable. But the victory is worth it!
I love you all.
