Shalom, beloved. J
Thought I’d get all Hebrew on you. Romans says that we are jews inwardly, so it’s ok!
Speaking of Hebrew, I want to share a passage from Isaiah, in the Young’s literal translation. It’s a little hard to read because it is phrased in the same manner as the original language. It sounds a bit like some old oriental martial arts master, or yoda from star wars. Anyway, the he and him in chapter 53 is Jesus …
3He is despised, and left of men, A man of pains, and acquainted with sickness, And as one hiding the face from us, He is despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, And our pains -- he hath carried them, And we -- we have esteemed him plagued, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
5And he is pierced for our transgressions, Bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement of our peace [is] on him, And by his bruise there is healing to us.
6All of us like sheep have wandered, Each to his own way we have turned, And Jehovah hath caused to meet on him, The punishment of us all.
Did you notice the words ‘sickness’ and ‘pain’ where the King James says griefs and sorrows? The direct translation from Hebrew is sickness and pain. Even in the king james those words are translated disease, sickness and pain around twenty times. So Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. Why? So we don’t. You see, jesus paid the price for our sins, sicknesses, confusion, and every other curse. So we no longer have them. Instead we have righteousness, health, peace and every other blessing. No matter what we see or feel, we are blessed and healed already. The word is truth, remember. Heaven and earth will pass away but his word will never pass away. Truth is forever, symptoms are temporary and always changing. Be healed today! By the way, since the word will never pass away I expect we will be learning it in heaven. Imagine heavenly notebooks, highlighters, etc. let’s learn as much as we can now so we can attend advanced classes there.
Again I’m inviting you to let me know if you want off the email list. I will not be offended, no problem. I love you all.
healed by His stripes,
Nancy
