A Feast or Trash?

Good evening everyone,
Proverbs 15, verses 14and 15 give us a little insight into wisdom and how it can affect our outlook on life.
14 A wise person is hungry for knowledge,
while the fool feeds on trash.
15 For the despondent, every day brings trouble;
for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.

What this said to me was that God wants us to desire the word of God; not just the latest information on celebrities or what happened on Heroes. If we would match tv time with bible or good word teaching time, we would be ‘wise’. Not only that, we would be encouraged in the truth and we wouldn’t have to battle as much with those thoughts of despondence. Every day our spirit is filled with what we put into it. A ‘fool’ fills his spirit with junk but a wise person fills his spirit with the knowledge of God. Then a fool will allow problems to steal his peace, joy or in extreme cases, his sleep. If you find yourself up at night with problems, get in the word quick! Praying is ok, but the answer to all your problems is in the word. All of them. Ok, so we are going to be wise. We will spend real time in the word, eating the bread of life. Being with Jesus; he is the word made flesh! I love you all! Be hungry for knowledge and make life a continual feast.

healed by His stripes,
Nancy
