I Will

Happy Cinco de Mayo.
At the end of one of the gospels it says that if all the stories of Jesus were written down, the world could not contain the books. Of all those stories, the Holy Spirit inspired Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to write down only nineteen separate individual stories. Some were important enough to duplicate in more than one book. Do you suppose the Lord hand-picked these particular stories to teach us something? Maybe something important?
In Luke 5:12, 13 He tells us about a terminally ill man, ‘full of leprosy’, who prays to Jesus the way most, if not all, of us have prayed at one time or another. He says ‘Lord, I know you can heal me if you will.’ If it be thy will.
Now the reason the Lord put this in three of the four books… His answer. Hallelujah! He said, without confusion, ‘I will. Be clean.’ By the way, these words are in red letters. Nothing is more true or relevant than red letters. Red letters trumps everything. Every experience, vision, theory, or opinion. Red letters beats PhDs, debates and arguments. Jesus’ answer, copied three times in red letters, is ‘I will.’
I submit that this answer is exactly what the Lord wants to teach us… That it is His will for all people for all time to be healed. In fact, in all the stories the Lord never once said ‘I won’t’ or ‘be patient, child. It’s not time yet’ never once.
All the promises of God are in Christ yes (I will) and in Him amen (be clean). 2 Corinthians 1:20.
I just love that! Jesus himself said I will to you, I will to me. Awesome! Praise God forevermore!
I love you all. Be blessed and look at all God’s promises, because they are yes to you, thanks to Jesus.

healed by His stripes, yes and amen,
Nancy
